Why does everything and everyone gotta be a "Problem"?

Maybe That's the Problem!

Lots of people in my life treat me like I'm a problem or I have "problems", and I seethe against their unfair judgments – because I see a world of Interactions, not "Problems". Things are what they are. Everything conforms to its true nature at that moment in spacetime. The only problems arise in the interactions between "things", and don't get me started on "things", as I am liable to start postulating that there's no such thing as "things"! But that's another story; that, for you, may prove problematic!

Seriously though…

There Are No "Problems".

Killcen does not have "problems" with demons.

Nobody Has an Alcohol "Problem".

Johnny Neptune Does Not Have a "Problem" with Donald J. Trump Being His President.

and I don't have a "problem" with Johnny Neptune either!

Hell! Why stop there! I don't have a "problem" with Bill Gates, with governments, politicians, central bankers, fiat currency, authority of any kind… Hell!

I don't Have Any "Problems"!

"Problems" arise in the interactions between things – things cannot be problems in themselves. Things cannot be "things" in and of themselves either, but that's a different story – maybe the one wPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

IN UNION THERE IS STRENGTH

I have watched this week's unfolding events, angry and appalled. The words "Equal Justice Under Law" are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand — one that all of us should be able to get behind. We must not be distracted by a small number of lawbreakers. The protests are defined by tens of thousands of people of conscience who are insisting that we live up to our values — our values as people and our values as a nation.

When I joined the military, some 50 years ago, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution. Never did I dream that troops taking that same oath would be ordered under any circumstance to violate the Constitutional rights of their fellow citizens — much less to provide a bizarre photo op for the elected commander-in-chief, with military leadership standing alongside.

We must reject any thinking of our cities as a "battlespace" that our uniformed military is called upon to "dominate." At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict — a false conflict — between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part. Keeping public order rests with civilian state and local leaders who best understand their communities and are answerable to them.

James Madison wrote in Federalist 14 that "America united with a handful of troops, or without a single soldier, exhibits a more forbidding posture to foreign ambition than America disunited, with a hundred thousand veterans ready for combat." We do not need to militarize our response to protests. We need to unite around a common purpose. And it starts by guaranteeing that all of us are equal before the law.

Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that "The Nazi slogan foPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

The work of the special counsel’s office — its report, indictments, guilty pleas and convictions — should speak for itself. But I feel compelled to respond both to broad claims that our investigation was illegitimate and our motives were improper, and to specific claims that Roger Stone was a victim of our office. The Russia investigation was of paramount importance. Stone was prosecuted and convicted because he committed federal crimes. He remains a convicted felon, and rightly so.

Russia’s actions were a threat to America’s democracy. It was critical that they be investigated and understood. By late 2016, the FBI had evidence that the Russians had signaled to a Trump campaign adviser that they could assist the campaign through the anonymous release of information damaging to the Democratic candidate. And the FBI knew that the Russians had done just that: Beginning in July 2016, WikiLeaks released emails stolen by Russian military intelligence officers from the Clinton campaign. Other online personas using false names — fronts for Russian military intelligence — also released Clinton campaign emails.

Following FBI Director James B. Comey’s termination in May 2017, the acting attorney general named me as special counsel and directed the special counsel’s office to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. The order specified lines of investigation for us to pursue, including any links or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump campaign. One of our cases involved Stone, an official on the campaign until mid-2015 and a supporter of the campaign throughout 2016. Stone became a central figure in our investigation for two key reasons: He communicated in 2016 with individuals known to us to be Russian intelligence officers, and he claimed advance knowledge of WikiLeaks’ release of emails stolen by those Russian intelligence officers.

We now have a detailed picture of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election. The special counsel’s office identified two principal operations directed at our election: hacking and dumping Clinton campaign emails, and an online social media campaign to disparage the Democratic candidate. We also identified numerous links between the Russian goPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

Assange’s wife sounds alarm over his treatment

WikiLeaks founder was subjected to ‘especially cruel’ treatment after extradition to US was approved in UK, Stella Moris has said

Julian Assange was strip-searched and moved to a bare cell on the very day the UK Home Secretary Priti Patel approved his extradition to the US, the WikiLeaks founder’s wife, Stella Moris, told journalists on Thursday. The 50-year-old remained there for a weekend as prison guards searched his own cell, she added.

“Prison is a constant humiliation but what happened on Friday felt especially cruel,” Moris, who married Assange in March, has said, adding that the guards had told their inmate that it had all been done “for his own protection.”

According to Moris, the guards were looking for any things that could be used by a person to take their own life. In the bare cell where Assange was placed, the guards checked his status every hour until he was allowed to return to his cell on Tuesday.

The WikiLeaks founder currently remains in the maximum security Belmarsh Prison in south-eastern London, having been placed there in April 2019 as the UK was deciding on his extradition to the US. On June 17, Patel approved his transfer to US custody.

A British court had initially refused the extradition request on the grounds that Assange may otherwise kill himself, or that he’d be subjected to inhumane treatment in US detention. But Washington successfully appealed the ruling, offering the UK assurances that the Australian’s rights would be observed.

“The fact he is imprisoned while this outrageous extradition proceeds is a grave injustice in itself. He needs to deal with all that, while preparing for a complex appeal to the High Court,” Moris said. Assange still has a right to appeal the decision within 14 days of June 17.

“This kind of thing never becomes more tolerable. Any person would find it degrading. The mental strain on Julian is enormous as it is, having Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

"Instead of facing reality, the delusional person would rather live in their world of make-believe. But in order to keep faking reality, they'll have to make sure that everyone else around them also pretends to live in their imaginary world.

In simpler words, the delusional person rejects reality. And in this rejection of reality, others have to play along with how they view the world, otherwise, their world will not make sense to them. It's why the delusional person will get angry when they face someone who doesn't conform to their world view …"

Ukrainian military shells residential areas (VIDEOS)

The attack targeted central Donetsk

The capital city of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) was subjected to heavy shelling by the Ukrainian military late on Saturday. Multiple districts of Donetsk came under almost simultaneous attack by the Kiev forces, which used howitzers and rocket artillery to target the city.

The city was hit by more than 40 rockets launched from BM-21 Grad systems, as well as by multiple 122mm artillery shells, according to local authorities. Footage from the scene shows the munitions exploding in residential areas of the city.

The attack inflicted damage on residential buildings and power lines, sparking fires and setting multiple cars ablaze, another video shows. At least 10 civilians have been injured in the attack, though the exact tally remains unknown.

An English-language newspaper controlled by the Chinese Communist Party’s propaganda department paid U.S. media companies nearly $2 million for printing and advertising expenses over the past six months, even amid heightened scrutiny over Beijing’s disinformation efforts in the West.

China Daily paid The Wall Street Journal more than $85,000 and the Los Angeles Times $340,000 for advertising campaigns between May and October 2020, according to a disclosure that the propaganda mill filed this week with the Justice Department under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).

China Daily also paid Foreign Policy magazine $100,000, The Financial Times, a U.K.-based newspaper, $223,710, and $132,046 to the Canadian outlet Globe & Mail for advertising campaigns, according to the filing.

The Beijing-based outlet paid several newspaper companies a total of $1,154,666 for printing costs, including $110,000 to the Los Angeles Times, $92,000 to The Houston Chronicle and $76,000 to The Boston Globe.

Overall, China Daily spent more than $4.4 million on printing, distribution, advertising and administration expenses over the past six months, according to the FARA filing.

China Daily, which is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party’s State Council Information Office, its propaganda agency, has for years paid newspapers and magazines in the U.S. and other Western countries to publish advertorials designed to look like legitimate news articles.

If I had one wish it would be no more Orwellian Newspeak. These dead people are not and nverer were "immigrants". Immigrant as a word implieds some legallity. In reality these are illegal alien victims of human trafficking. Try to keep the truth clear. Frankly if they had saved their money and stayed home, they would be alive right now. There needs to be a chain of custodty death penalty for any human traffickig that results in death. In this case it would include the truck driver, and ther person who took them across the river and took their money. If an NGO gave them money for trafficking then everyone in the NGO needs to be tried, especially the top boss.

Kek.

I just watched a video yesterday where a guy was parked eating taco bell and cops wanted to know why he was parked there and what he was doing. He was eating tacos as they were talking to him, and he told them he didn't want to answer questions. They arrested him for refusing to answer their questions, then read him his rights. "You have the right to remain silent…".

I(sac) finally got yor # bud

You like to pick on /killcen/ not because he literally is the cray old alkie coot that we think he is, even though he is the cray old alkie coot that we think he is.

Watkins was right..you are a sociopathic/psychopathic troll.

I have what is/are called compassionate empathic feelings on occaison, and no, compassionate feelings for an animal dosn't mean that you are not a sociopathic meat-a ball.

Psychopaths love their pets since they are obedient and easy to manipulate. Individuals who would qualify as psychopaths who say that they aren't sad when they hear about people dying. "But they get really upset when their pets die because pets offer unconditional love."

I finally got over to /killcen/'s board @ >>>/realnews/, and it was worser(sic) than i(sic) thought.

Post after post where he replies to his own self and even shits up most of his own threads.

I posted a while ago about a lonely old coot that we kids put a bag of flaming shit on his doorstep.

All true, and the lonely old guy looked forward to his friday night of fun, as we kids did, as it was all he had.

We could instead of shitting up his foot, have stopped for a moment as we rode by on our bikes and said, Hi Mr /killcen/, great night for a bike ride!

And he would have ttold us about the spic invaders who moved in next street over, real human interaction.

/n/ meant a lot more to /killcen/ than any of us.

It was neighborhood how ya do in' moment, even if McGovern or his aper did shit up his foot too much, I did too, but i all so had moments of respect for people with a mental illness, as I do for Mr McGovern.

But this kicking someone when they are down?

Shame

The governments and corporations that spy on us would like nothing better than for us to remain lone individuals, tasked with protecting our own data and privacy. Only collective action can secure civil liberties.

Privacy looks to be another major casualty of COVID-19. The pandemic has accelerated our dependence on digital platforms and services that, by their nature, make our data vulnerable. School is online; shoppers increasingly rely on digital purveyors; and half the workforce toils remotely from home. Many of the digital innovations and changes we witness are here to stay, bound to alter social and economic life in profound ways — and make privacy cheap.

There’s more. As vaccine development drags on and countries grow anxious to open their economies more fully, the Chinese model beckons. Wuhan, the early epicenter of the disease, is open for business and back to normal. China corralled the disease by deploying invasive surveillance — among other things, training cameras on people’s doors to enforce quarantine — and modeled other forms of digitally tracking people across the country’s vast expanse, to enable an impressive contact tracing system.

US tech firms eager to emulate China’s success are developing smartphone apps that indicate if you have been near someone infected, and thus need to quarantine. Much of the COVID-inspired surveillance is also here to stay — and, dreading another global shutdown, I wager many people will be happy for it.

Civil libertarians are, quite justifiably, concerned about these developments. We must guard our privacy more jealously, they say. Caught up in the frenzy and speed of the digital economy, awestruck by its many wonders and conveniences — accepting surveillance if it means warding off another pandemic — we ignore how privacy is essential to democracy and liberty.

We require privacy, they insist, to feel safe and free to consider ideas that are controversial — or offensive — to some. Expansions of liberty, which are later taken for granted, start with controversial ideas. If privacy is inviolate, people will feel uncoerced and empowered as Post too long. Once upon a starless midnight there was an owl who sat on the branch of an oak tree. Two ground moles tried to slip quietly by, unnoticed. "You!" said the owl. "Who?" they quavered, in fear and astonishment, for they could not believe it was possible for anyone to see them in that thick darkness. "You two!" said the owl. The moles hurried away and told the other creatures of the field and forest that the owl was the greatest and wisest of all animals because he could see in the dark and because he could answer any question. "I’ll see about that, "said a secretary bird, and he called on the owl one night when it was again very dark. "How many claws am I holding up?" said the secretary bird. "Two," said the owl, and that was right. "Can you give me another expression for ‘that is to say’ or ‘namely’?" asked the secretary bird. "To wit," said the owl. "Why does the lover call on his love?" "To woo," said the owl.

The secretary bird hastened back to the other creatures and reported that the owl indeed was the greatest and wisest animal in the world because he could see in the dark and because he could answer any question. "Can he see in the daytime, too?" asked a red fox? "Yes," answered a dormouse and a French poodle. "Can he see in the daytime, too?" All the other creatures laughed loudly at this silly question, and they set upon the red fox and his friends and drove them out of the region. They sent a messenger to the owl and asked him to be their leader.

When the owl appeared among the animals it was high noon and the sun was shining brightly. He walked very slowly, which gave him an appearance of great dignity, and he peered about him with large, staring eyes, which gave him an air of tremendous importance. "He’s God!" screamed a Plymouth rock hen. And the others took up the cry "He’s God!" So they followed him wherever he went and when he bumped into things they began to bump into things, too. Finally he came to a concrete highway and he started up the middle of it and all the other creatures followed him. Presently a hawk, who was acting as outrider, observed a truck coming toward them at fifty miles an hour, and he reported to the secretary bird and the secretary bird reported to the owl. "There’s danger ahead," said the secretary bird. "To wit?" said the owl. The secretary bird toPost too long. Click here to view the full text.
