I’ve been saving to upgrade my backyard and can’t decide whether to go for a fully custom in-ground pool or one of those modular fiberglass options. I’d love something that lasts, but I don’t want endless maintenance either. What’s everyone’s experience with quality, cost, and long-term upkeep?

I went the modular route, and honestly, it was worth it. Installation was super fast, and maintenance has been minimal. It doesn’t have the same “wow” factor as a custom pool, but for the price and convenience, it’s perfect. Just make sure you invest in good filtration and regular cleaning.

Before choosing, I’d strongly recommend checking builder reputations and reading feedback online, you can find real homeowner stories on sites like anthony sylvan reviews https://anthony-sylvan.opinion-corp.com/ to see how different pool projects turned out in practice. Some companies excel at quick installs, while others focus on long-term durability and support. From my experience, it’s better to invest time upfront in research than regret structural or warranty issues later. Every yard and climate is different, so what works in Florida might not hold up in Texas. Reviews and photos can give you a clearer picture before you spend thousands on your dream pool.
