I asked a question (which was supposed to be rhetorical and not serious) about what was wrong with asians after watching one of them pour a disgusting mess over himself and his room on a livestream. Some lad then says whites are worse and more degenerate than asians, then claims that I'm burying my head in the sand because according to him it's self-explanatory. I then made a comment on how that was a very vague and dismissive response after making such a bold and confident claim, because it looked to me as if he was running away from giving any evidence or explanation.

Which leads to you calling me "the least intelligent person on this board" in response to that. If turning a discussion on a particular topic, that has nothing to do with us as individuals, into a direct attack on an individual poster's intelligence, is what makes someone "likeable" in your opinion, then frankly I don't see you fit to be the best judge on what makes somebody likeable or not.

The fact is, there are people that like me for who I am, and respect my opinions and the way I convey them, and there always has been. When I was in school, in college, and even during my brief time in work, there were always people that I was able to bond with just fine. I've had numerous friends in my lifetime, even if I currently have none due to my current NEET/hikki situation. Online, I've had numerous people say that they like me being around, I mean hell, I've even had people say they miss me after I've stopped going to certain communities. You've made it clear that you don't like me, and that's fine; nobody likes everyone. It felt like the world around me was breathing, geometric patterns were forming and shifting in and out of the walls and carpet, sounds were felt rather than just heard and melded seamlessly with the visuals. All of the LSD-inspired artwork I've seen in the past suddenly made sense because that's almost exactly what the visuals are like. I was in control of it to a degree; focusing on an object or image would cause it gradually to be expressed in different ways, and the longer I looked the more surreal it became, the further away from reality I drifted, but I was able to bring myself back when needed for things like making drinks or going to the toilet. My body was light and everything felt warm and silky as though I was floating on a cloud, and for the most part there was a deep level of contentedness and wellbeing, but there were some points at which I felt a vague sense of dread at the prospect of being stuck in this bizarre alien world forever, though I quickly reminded myself that was a silly idea and shrugged it off.

For me, this year has been a huge downgrade compared to 2015 and 2016 (minus the wageslave period which was worse). I've generally been unable to give a shit about anything other than using my computer / the internet from the moment I wake up to the moment I sleep. My sleep pattern is back to being all over the place (I woke up at midnight), and if I had to guess, I would say that I've left the house less than 20 times this year, maybe even less than 15. Same goes for taking showers. It's safe to say my computer/internet addiction is back in full force.

Even though I recognise what I'm doing wrong, I feel like I have no reason to put in all the effort to fix things a second time. I was eager to improve myself before because I was convinced the grass would be greener on the other side, that my momentum would just keep snowballing, and I'd keep hitting milestones until I was a fully-fledged "normal adult". Once I got a small glimpse at the other side (namely, full time employment), it seemed significantly less green than where I was before, so now I really don't know where to go.

This time last year, I said I wanted to look into going back into some form of education, but that was only really an excuse to leave work and to get people off my back about what I was going to do after quitting. I don't have any idea what I would do there, there's nothing that I really want to do, and I'm not convinced that I could get through a single term without falling behind and dropping out.

I'm almost 26, 4 years and 2 months away from 30, but I feel like it's already too late for me in many ways. I made the best effort I could muster at 23 and 24, because I felt like there was a fighting chance for me to get on the right path and become a successful, independent human being, but at this point I think too much damage has been done. I don't know if I'm gonna make it.

Sure, but as people age, their character becomes less malleable, and their ways become more set in stone. A hikki who is 23 has a far better chance of turning their life around than a hikki who is 33, and I believe that at some point, it becomes virtually impossible.

A part of me does, that's the problem. Despite it's limitations, life is very simple and easy for me right now, and I'm still very much appreciating the peace and tranquillity of my current "freedom" to just do whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like. I sometimes feel guilty because I'm obviously highly dependent on my mum, but she doesn't particularly care, she's over-protective and wanted me to live here forever anyway. Other than that, I just get the occasional pangs of envy towards people who have things I don't and can do things I can't, but that doesn't occur much any more, I'm mostly okay with how things are. Two years ago I would have said I definitely wanted my life to be different, but right now I'm more okay with things as they are, despite objectively being a downgrade.

I've been appeasing my conscience a lot more lately and feel happier for it.

Altering them for the sake of it is, but I think most drugs can be used productively if you use them with some positive goal in mind. I take it once a week before the gym and a long day at work (it lasts all day and as a bonus provides god-tier sleep at the end.) It reduces my anxiety levels to virtually nothing, and I take part in interactions I normally wouldn't and with people I normally wouldn't, which has translated over to life in general. Overall I am a lot more confident than I was 2 years ago towards the end of my 4 year stint of NEETism, before I became a based retail lad. I don't ascribe that all to the drug, the will to change and improve is obviously the most important thing, but it has been a useful tool.

If you're one of the more socially successful fannylickers on here then it might not be necessary, but if you're a recovering sperg like me it could be just what you need.
