I don't doubt that, I've heard the story a thousand times from a thousand anons (and non-anons). They think a girlfriend will fix everything, they manage to fluke their way into getting one, it doesn't end up being a complete life-changer, it comes with a tonne of negatives and baggage you didn't want, and the end result is just misery for all involved. Anyone denying that this is a common outcome, even for people in good mental states, is fairly delusional, and I say that as someone who believed that a girlfriend was the answer to end all my woes for a very long time.

Nobody said getting a gf was the 'answer to end all my woes for a very long time'; he only said it would improve his life, so I don't know why you've gone on autist paragraphs about it. Maybe you're just trying to find comfort in knowing that it's very unlikely you'll get a gf.

>Nobody said getting a gf was the 'answer to end all my woes for a very long time'
I think you completely misinterpreted that sentence, I was saying that I myself, in the past, believed that getting a girlfriend would solve a lot of my problems, and I believed it for a long time.
>Maybe you're just trying to find comfort in knowing that it's very unlikely you'll get a gf
Unnecessary dig lad, and that's not really the case. I like responding to anons, and "being NEET / wanting a girlfriend / thinking it will improve my life" is something I can directly relate to, so I gave my thoughts. I'm not trying to "find comfort" or whatever. If anything, there's a comfort in believing "all I'm missing is a girlfriend, everything would be better if I had one", whereas the reality of "oh, I have problems that I alone need to deal with, because other people can't fix me" is a little harsher.
>I don't know why you've gone on autist paragraphs about it

Why do you think that having a girlfriend wouldn't make us happier?
>Do I have to have a first-hand experience with having a cute girl to cuddle in order to suggest that it would not in fact improve a NEET lad's life in any meaningful way? I don't think so.
>I know this 'because my real problem was constantly desiring what I didn't have, which is a never-ending loop. I think that qualifies me enough to give my thoughts on the matter.'
Why do you assume we are all like you (that we all 'constantly desire what we don't have - and that this for some reason would make having a gf redundant'). Do you not consider happiness an improvement? As for you citing normalfags; I don't care what normalfags think, I could just as easily cite that I've spoken to a normalfag and he felt >tfw no gf hard, if not harder, than me.

I know that feeling lad. Works not been bad these two days I've been back, but I can just see it becoming unbearable again soonish.
I've got a 4 day weekend in two weeks time, another week off at the start of December. Then I get a 5 days off in a row for Christmas and 4 for new years, so that's not too bad.
I just need to strategically plan my holidays next year so I have shorter chunks of time off closer together, so it keeps me sane. I'm think of being a complete cunt and booking at least one long weekend a month.

I think you're getting entirely the wrong idea about where I'm coming from. It's not like I'm some MGTOW fuck who goes around saying "anyone who gets into a relationship with a woman is CANCER"; I am pro-marriage, pro-family, and I think being single is generally a terrible state to be in as an adult. The entire crux of my argument is that if you're in a shit situation, like almost all NEETs invariably are, a girlfriend will almost certainly not improve your life. I don't think anyone who thinks that is seriously considering all the cons and negatives that come with relationships, particularly ones that involve unemployed people. Most relationships do require some form of monetary investment, and when there's no money around, things can start breaking down and get very heated. I know from experience how easy it is, when you've never had a girlfriend, to think that having a girlfriend will be all hugs and snugs, and it will just be lovey dovey 24/7. That's largely what leads to the whole ">tfw no gf" phenomenon, which I'm very familiar with. But even having experienced it, I have learned to accept that what I feel might be a solution, isn't necessarily an actual solution.
So to recap, I'm not saying "don't get a girlfriend, girls are gay", and I'm not saying "I-I don't even want a girlfriend, so you shouldn't either". What I am saying, is that if you feel like something is missing in your life, a girlfriend will probably not fill that hole, because that hole is likely going to remain until you solve what's actually causing you to feel unfulfilled.

>I still have this but don't know what I'm doing with it
Basically just install drivers etc., plug your bass into one of the front jack sockets, set it to "INST" which is the DI / high-impedance mode, then use some sort of audio editor / DAW to record it. For basic recording, you could download the latest version of Audacity, check Edit->Preferences->Devices to select the right audio device and input, check your levels aren't anywhere near clipping, then hit record. Once you have what you want, use File->"Save Other"->"Export Audio", then choose whatever format fits your needs. Generally you would use .mp3 for compression, .flac for lossless compression, .wav for uncompressed. Think of them as the audio equivalent of .jpeg, .png, and .bmp respectively.

Retailcucks are upset that Blizzard are releasing Legacy servers. There were a few particularly prolific WoW forum posters (just look at that one in the pic with 72,619 posts) who always liked to look down their noses and sneer at people who wanted to play vanilla again; now it's happening and they're struggling to contain their butthurt.

Not hyped. Sorry.
I played when U/LBRS was top content…
I played my heart out fighting Arthas in Icecrown…
I rode atop Deathwing after surviving the upheaval of the world..
I brought Garrosh to justice, only to have him slip through our fingers…
Turned back the Iron Horde…
And fight the Legion whom have plagued our realm for so long…
My point is… The story goes on. The game evolves.. and we have grown along with it.
I won't fault those with rose colored glasses… or those who never knew those times for being excited but I enjoy new content and new lore to explore. Characters evolving and changing… others we love passing on… others stepping forward to fill the gap.
It's kind of like the longest book written..that keeps adding chapters. Chapter one was cool in it's time, but i don't want to stay there forever… there's soooo much more to read.

I'm admittedly biased, but I don't think you can go wrong with a 61-key keyboard. Much more versatile than a guitar, and it helps a lot more if you ever want to get into composing/producing music.

Am I right in saying the 61 key is the full sized one? I actually have access to a few, so I wouldn't even need to buy one if that's the case. I also really like the piano, it's one of my favourite instruments ever since I started listening to more classical. Do you perhaps know of a good "one stop shop" book for piano beginners that covers things like technique, theory, maybe even reading sheet music etc.?

>Am I right in saying the 61 key is the full sized one?
A "proper" piano generally has 88 keys, but the typical keyboard has 61. Anything less (like those meme 2-octave midi keyboards) is a fairly useless compromise.
>Do you perhaps know of a good "one stop shop" book for piano beginners that covers things like technique, theory, maybe even reading sheet music etc.?
I don't know much about proper technique or sheet music, I am mostly self-taught (minus a few lessons in school) and can't fluently read music. Always preferred to make my own music rather than learn to play other people's.
I do know this site though: http://www.musictheory.net/ , it has pretty much everything you'd ever need to know, you can switch between British and American terminology I'm sorry lads, but "half note" and "eighth note" are clearly superior to "minim" and "quaver", the based yanks won this one, and has useful ear training exercise tools as well.

So I unwrap my sandwich from the foil and what do I see? A disgusting black, block of pure mold which starts flaking everywhere. It can't even be identified as a sandwich at this stage of decay. I didn't have the courage to open the sausage roll.
These were my sandwiches from about 4 months ago that I didn't eat.
So anyway, I put the sandwiches back in the fridge to punish management for improperly cleaning the fridge.

I simply cannot wait everyone on my friends list who has a vagina! Thank fuck I don't need to waste a trip to superdrug for a clear blue pregnancy test kit, i have Facebook instead like all the other super smart bitches tagging their buddies in this mind numbing bullshit 😄 Well, maybe Chelsea had a hysterectomy last week and maybe Amanda has endometriosis. Maybe Jasmine's tubes have been tied and maybe Francesca's going through the change. Maybe nobody will shag Kelsey because she looks like a warthog and maybe Victoria only takes it up the arse. One thing is for sure, and that's that this one girl called Cat is tempted to weep for humanity and their lack of intelligence whenever she sees a list like this circulating among the morons on her news feed, but instead she gazes towards the rope gracefully dangling from her ceiling and sees a beautiful mirage of possibility whereby she never encounters this absolute crap ever again 💖

Morning lads.
>Do you ever google things from your dreams to see if they're real or not?
Yes, all the time.
Speaking of dreams, last night I had a dream that I was on a caravan holiday with my family. Somewhere along the line, I encountered a qt girl who couldn't speak English, but after we locked eyes I playfully blew a kiss to her, like the Chad I truly am. She pretended to cut it in the air with scissors for a laugh, and it was at that moment I fell in love with a sassy, playing-hard-to-get, non-English-speaking, imaginary dream girl.

Do you lads think alcohol should be as freely available as it is now? I think it's good that drugs are banned and think punishments should be more severe, but admittedly alcohol is far more dangerous and addictive than a lot of (most?) banned substances so it seems like supporting things as they are now would be hypocritical of me.

I think that if normies didn't have drinking alcohol on the weekend being the only thing they look forward too while working the job they hate, we'd have a problem. At least if it was banned now.

I don't think the answer to alcohol culture is banning it, because historically it only leads to increased organised crime levels. I'm not sure any legislation could help matters at this point, I think we're too far down the path of decadence and decay to turn the ship of society around before it sinks. I think the best we can do is make a little raft for ourselves and people we like (i.e. self-improvement, self-sufficiency, etc), and try not to go down with the rest of them.

>Living beings cannot be described bluntly as of one sex or the other. The real world from the point of view of sex may be regarded as swaying between two points, no actual individual being at either point, but somewhere between the two. The task of science is to define the position of any individual between these two points. The absolute conditions at the two extremes are not metaphysical abstractions above or outside the world of experience, but their construction is necessary as a philosophical and practical mode of describing the actual world.
>A presentiment of this bisexuality of life (derived from the actual absence of complete sexual differentiation) is very old.
>Traces of it may be found in Chinese myths, but it became active in Greek thought. We may recall the mythical personification of bisexuality in the Hermaphroditos, the narrative of Aristophanes in the Platonic dialogue, or in later times the suggestion of a Gnostic sect (Theophites) that primitive man was a "man-woman."
I think what he's saying is basically right. You only have to look at numales and trannies or feminists and lesbians to see that. What feminine characteristics do you lads have?
Physically I have mild gyno, psychologically I'm very compassionate towards animals. I don't see anything wrong with it in that form though. I might've made a good liberal had years of NEETdom and /pol/ not prevented that tendency from being directed towards refugees.

That entire thing relies on "Living beings cannot be described bluntly as of one sex or the other" being true, and I am going to say right now that yes they can. There is a very distinct, binary aspect to sex, not just for humans but for animals in general. You can see it quite clearly by looking at the chromosomes, and (usually) by the anatomy as well. A few freak anomalies, and however you feel that morning, doesn't mean that sex is suddenly a spectrum.
Don't get so drunk on "intellectual" bullshit that you turn yourself into a pansexual genderfluid retard.
>I have mild gyno

Typologically yes, and he didn't claim otherwise, all he's saying is that very rare is the individual who conforms exactly to either archetype(do you disagree?), and that the broad masses of humanity are formed by a composite of the two existing in varying degrees, with most being heavily weighted in the direction of their actual sex.
>pansexual genderfluid retard.
That's politically contrived artificial rubbish. I can see how people could debase and twist his ideas to support that kind of thinking (though those types wouldn't touch him with a ten-foot barge pole because of his views on race and women), but nothing outside of male or female has any scientific validity and he didn't claim otherwise.
>>61681
No, it's just a question of degree. All I mean when I mention my own tendency for compassion is that it seems higher than in most men I've encountered, but not that it doesn't exist in most men to one degree or another; some lack it entirely and some possess it to a pathological degree. Maybe I picked a bad example or am not doing him justice but I just started reading him today and am still working through the biological ideas which precede the more interesting philosophical parts on female and Jewish nature.
Personally I would characterize the compassion existing in the ideal man as being a secondary trait expressed through things like duty and heroism (why did the lads in your pic do what they did if not to defend their nations and families, the things they cared for and loved more than anything?)
To get back to Weininger:
>"The Jew is an inborn Communist."
He killed himself at 23 because he couldn't escape the Jewish aspect of his character, which he despised, seeing Jewishness as more aligned with the Feminine. He was probably the most hardcore "self-hating" Jew there ever was.

>he didn't claim otherwise
If I'm interpreting the excerpt you posted correctly, he claimed otherwise when he stated that living beings can't be bluntly described as one sex or another, assuming his definition of sex is the traditional "male and female". He did so again when he stated that "the real world" may be regarded as swaying between two points, implying that male and female are two ends of a 1-dimensional spectrum. He did so a third time when he claimed that the task of science is to define where on this spectrum an individual lies, which is true only if you're some Freud-tier hack. He also said that there was an "absence of complete sexual differentiation", which is patently false.
All of these statements are false premises. There is no male-female spectrum, and any non-hermaphroditic lifeform with a sexual reproduction system can most definitely be defined as one or the other. Even the hermaphrodites can be pin-pointed as either 100% male, 100% male, or 100% both at any one point in time, and not anywhere in between. If you want to get into whether human behaviours can be defined on a spectrum between masculine and feminine (which again, I disagree with the very premise), that's a different argument altogether, and not the one I'm getting from his own words.

I'm right there with you lad. I think they just have an inability to imagine what the cost of all these "little" payments here, there, and everywhere would add up to over a lifetime.
There is ZERO reason to pay for something if there's an easily accessible and inconsequential way around it, it's like paying a toll at a bridge when there's another bridge right next to it completely open and unguarded (plus with no bullshit getting in the way like the paid route has, a la DRM). The argument then becomes "well they wouldn't be able to do what they do if everyone stopped paying for it", to which I say "well then they'll have to come up with a better business model". There are plenty of business practices that have become unprofitable and impractical over time due to technological advances, and this is one of them.

Some retard lady in a honda jazz decided to jump on their brakes to let someone out of a junction. There was no traffic and no reason to let them out of the junction, it would have actually just been quicker to continue driving and letting them pull out once we had passed.
I couldn't stop the car in time so I had to pull into the other lane to avoid hitting her. Not sure if it was a retard or a potential insurance scam tbh.

Music theory is basically just ways of describing various audible phenomenon, in the same way that colour theory is used to describe visual phenomenon. You don't need to know the science behind why one colour works or clashes with another in order to paint a masterpiece, and the same goes with music and composition.

It helps though. If you know about modes, scales, key signatures etc you have many more tools in your kit than someone who doesn't, and you know what goes well with other things and what doesn't. A composer without any of that would just be guessing, and I'm not saying you can't make great music that way, I just think the likelihood of you doing so would be less and it would take longer.

You don't need to know the names of the terms to be instinctively familiar with the concepts, and have a good idea on how to use them. You can know your scales, your chords, your time signatures, and so on, without ever learning what they're called, in the same way you could be a fantastic dancer who knows a load of difficult and intricate moves, without ever learning the names of them or how they work. It's not guesswork, but a combination of intuition, experimentation, and personal taste. It's only guesswork if you're tone-deaf or rhythmically challenged, and even then, with some repeated hands-on practice you can overcome those "disabilities" (I taught a lad at school who couldn't clap to a beat how to make music, he was quite good after a few years).
I've mentioned before how some people just have a natural knack for creating incredible melodies and harmonies, and these people never had to learn music theory in order to make beautiful music. I was never on that level, but I've always instinctively known what works and what doesn't melodically, harmonically, and rhythmically. Just by having access to a keyboard as a child, I knew a bunch of chords and scales before I even knew the terms "chord" and "scale", because I'd grown up listening to music and I was familiar with what sounded "right" and what sounded "wrong".
The audible and practical aspects of music are separate from the words used to describe them, and studying music theory is not required to write music unless you're musically disadvantaged in one way or another. Analysing music is a different matter altogether, you will need to know your theory for that.

It was the hype of N E X T G E N GTA, which just about everyone, including myself, was consumed by at the time after the last three consistently broke new ground. All the reviews were rushed out because they all wanted to be the mag with the scoop on the most anticipated game of the year, so I can forgive them for not spotting the main flaws of the game, which aren't really apparent until you've played the game a while. The missions and gameplay become quite repetitive, the amazingly "realistic" animation (for the time) grows frustrating because of how slow and cumbersome it is, and you find out there's very little to actually do in the game when compared with San Andreas.
That said, definitely wasn't a disappointment in my eyes, especially after TLaD and TBoGT were released. GTA V on the other hand was a massive let down for me, mainly because the PS3 was incredibly outdated and in need of putting down by 2013, so the game ran like absolute dogshit. Not to mention having to download the entire game to play it on launch despite it supposedly being on the disc, the multiplayer being disabled for the first few weeks, and then it launched in a completely unusable and broken state. Only played the game about 6 times before putting it back on the shelf, and I've completely lost interest in GTA since that experience.

GTA2, III, and VC my mum bought in shop, because I got them long after they came out. SA and IV I pre-ordered online for delivery because this was the era when pre-ordering wasn't just a scam, and actually had the useful function of near-guaranteeing you a copy of the game on the day of it's release. I pre-ordered GTA V because I wanted a physical copy, and I didn't want to download a game that big and have all the waiting around that comes with that. What I didn't realise is that they were going to make me download and install the entire fucking game anyway after putting the disc in, the absolute cunts.
SA was probably the best pre-order experience of my life. Nothing will come close to the year of hype that game had, the game arriving in the morning of the day of it's release, and then the game actually being fucking amazing. Literally wore my fat PS2 out with it, had to ask for the new slim model for my birthday 3 months later.

Well, the PS3 and 360 both got revealed at E3 2005, and I remember spending days just watching all the footage online, and kept going back to them for months. The "games" looked mind-blowing, Killzone 2, Getaway 3, and loads of others looked like nothing I'd ever seen, so all I wanted was a PS3. It kept getting delayed though, I remember asking to just have money for Christmas (2005) and my birthday (January 06) so that I could buy a PS3 when it came out, and then it got delayed over and over, so the next year I got money for Christmas and birthday a second time. Me and my dad went to all the way down to London on a train to the science museum, because they had a REAL PS3 that you could see in action in their "history of gaming" or whatever section. It was guarded by a couple of serious looking guards because it was that big of a deal. They had "Gran Turismo HD Concept" running on a projector screen, and it looked incredible.
The PS3 eventually came out in the USA in November 2006, and EVENTUALLY came out in the UK on 23rd March 2007, nearly two years after it was revealed at E3 05. I got mine that day because I'd pre-ordered it, and my dad took me to the shop to get a game for it. This is where the disappointment began; there were no very few games. Now that's to be expected when a console launches, but the couple of games that were out, weren't very good. If I remember correctly, it was Fight Night Round 3 (a boxing game), Motorstorm (a racing game), Resistance: Fall of Man (a brown and grey FPS), and some other shit that nobody wanted. I got the boxing game, because the E3 05 videos of it looked amazing. However, it was shit, there was nothing to the game, every match was super repetitive, and there was nothing more to it than that, a complete waste of time. It also didn't look anywhere near as good as the 2005 trailer.
So I download the GT HD Concept, and it's alright, but it's just one track and 2 different cars, and the full-priced glorified-demo wouldn't come out until two thousand and fucking eight, and the actual GT 5 came out in t w e n t y t e n . I downloaded every demo that appeared on PSN as soon as they uploaded them, and it was just disappointment after disappointment. Where were the games that were shown at E3 the last two years? Why was every game brownish grey and blurry? Why are half the announced games cancelled? Where was that awesome looking game where you could voice chat to a couple of digital anime chicks? Why is PS3 Home that was supposed to be there on launch in 2006, not coming out until December 2008? Why is every game being optimised for the other console, and then the PS3 version is usually a shit port?
This bullshit just went on and on until I guess some point in the 2010s, when people started saying the PS3 was worth having for one reason or another, but by that point I'd already become completely dejected and disillusioned with the whole thing, and my PS3 was just gathering dust. The games sucked, CoD got old after one game, all the games were either brown or grey, the graphics went from "it's alright I guess" to "this is fucking awful" within about a year, the vast majority of games were "cinematic experiences" and played like clones of each other, it was just depressing.
TL;DR - I had hope, and then a lot of delays, no games, shit games, and broken dreams later, I had zero hope.

The PS3 is my favourite console, on par with the PS2. I think it has some really great exclusives. Motorstorm (in my opinion one of the best arcade racing games ever made), Demon's Souls, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted, Heavy Rain. Outside of exclusives there's plenty of good games from the 7th gen as well. http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/PlayStation_3 May have some titles you haven't heard about. I know all those games, I have MGS4 and Uncharted (which I thought were good for a single playthrough during a time when cinematic games were still a novelty), and I played the demos of Motorstorm, LBP, and Heavy Rain, and I didn't like them at all (particularly Heavy Rain, what the fuck lad). My favourite consoles are the PS1, Mega Drive, and SNES, which is what I was mostly playing (as well as old PC games) during what I consider to be the dark ages of gaming. There were of course a few good games in that generation, I mentioned GTAIV + the expansions, I quite liked Assassin's Creed 2, Oblivion was great fun, The Darkness was a hidden gem that most people overlooked, and I liked Dark Souls but I got it when it came out on PC.
But none of that outweighs the general disappointment that I felt for the majority of the generation, after what looked to be the start of a golden era at E3 2005. Games I really wanted being cancelled, and instance after instance of "maybe this one will be good", and subsequent "nope it's shit". I think the fact there was so few games at the start, that I had to play every single demo that came out for a couple of years, meant that I was exposed to a lot more disappointment and garbage than most. Shit like HAZE, Kane & Lynch, Lair, and the big one, Sonic 06. It was certainly a far cry from what I had expected "next generation" to be like.

There isn't really, the gameplay segments are far and few between, they're bland and painfully short, while the cutscenes (AKA the meat of the "game" where all the plot happens) drag on and on for literal hours, and let's not forget that a large chunk of the game is just staring at pic related. Every segment has to be installed when you get to it, and it takes far too long, at least on an original fat 60GB PS3. I enjoyed the "game" the first time because it was like an actual movie, and I hadn't really played anything like that before besides Uncharted. A couple of years later I tried to go for a second playthrough and it was just a horrid experience, had to drop it around the part when you meet Naomi.

That's all you need to do. Exercise is helpful because it means you can consume a little bit more on those days (amounting to the number burned during exercise), and it has loads of health benefits besides, but it's not strictly necessary to lose weight.
The bottom line is to stop over-eating and start under-eating until you've reached your ideal weight, at which point you can start eating at your TDEE to maintain it.

>compared to action-adventure games in general it's not lacking in gameplay
Have you never played an action adventure game from before 2008? MGS4 was the definitive "movie game", where you spend as much time (if not more) watching as you do playing. It got 2 guinness world records for the length of the cutscenes, one for longest individual cutscene at around half an hour, and one for longest sequence of cutscenes at around 70 minutes. The total cutscene time is around 8 hours I believe, and that's not including the codec calls, which from what I'm reading bumps it up to 10. The installation times are 10 - 20 minutes a pop. The total gameplay hours is between 5 and 10 depending on how fast you get through it. Like I said, I enjoyed it the first time because it was something really different, but playing it a second is out of the question because if you skip all the cutscenes, it's a relatively short, boring, mediocre game, with painfully long loading/installation times.
>I enjoy games of that length
I don't mind a GAME of that length, I mind a MOVIE (with brief playable segments) of that length. I generally don't play games just to sit there and watch, especially not for a second time.
>Wipeout is boring, and it has been ever since the first
All the games prior to Wipeout HD were shit, but HD/Fury was a different beast. Pure exhilaration and energy in game form, it looked great while running at a consistent 60 fps at 1080p (on a PS3 of all things), and you could use your own custom soundtrack. 10/10, best racing game ever in my books, at least until SASRT came out and tied with it.
>What's really going on here is that you have shit taste
With opinions as bad as yours, I'll take that as a big compliment.

I personally had no interest in 5 whatsoever, and couldn't care less about the state of it. It's not really that I gave up on the series, I wasn't a huge MGS fan to begin with but I enjoyed 1 and 2 years after they came out, and I enjoyed 4 back in 2008. From what I've seen, 5 is a very different game to the others, and nothing I saw really made me think "this is new" or "I need to play this".

There's the same amount of gameplay as many other action adventure games like Resident Evil 4 and so on. The fact that there are a lot of skippable cutscenes doesn't change that. The installation can be done in one go from the start menu. You like Final Fantasy and Zelda, both are gay and shit and so are your opinions.
>I don't mind a GAME of that length, I mind a MOVIE (with brief playable segments) of that length. I generally don't play games just to sit there and watch, especially not for a second time.
As I've said before, the gameplay alone is equal to that of other action adventure games (games that nobody complains about being 'short' - including all the MG titles before it). The cutscenes are skippable so once you've seen them you don't need to watch them again but if you don't watch them you're a normalfag. Stop kvetching about the cutscenes it proves nothing.

>The installation can be done in one go from the start menu
I've just looked this up, apparently they patched the game in 2012 and retroactively added that feature. This was NOT an option in 2008, or even when I went back to replay it a couple of years later, and it likely wouldn't even fit on the original 60GB PS3 when you factor in data from other games. Originally you were forced to install each act individually whenever you got to it, and I believe it would overwrite the old data each time as well, so you could never just jump into the game.
>You like Final Fantasy and Zelda
I like FF 4, 5, 6, and 9, and I like most 2D Zelda games + the temples from OoT (hated the rest of the game). I would not consider myself a fan of 3D FF, 3D Zelda, or anything Square-Enix or Nintendo has made since the mid-90s, so please update your information on my game tastes.
>Stop kvetching about the cutscenes it proves nothing
>if you don't watch them you're a normalfag
This is getting off-topic, but it's this movie game bullshit trend that brought all the normalfags in in the first place, because instead of having to play a game, you could just sit and watch a bunch of scripted sequences instead, just like muh hollywood blockbusters. It was fine when cutscenes were basically treated as a little reward for getting past a portion of the game, but when it became the main feature, and especially when gameplay itself started becoming scripted set-pieces where player agency was effectively an illusion, it became a more pervasive problem in my eyes.
I'd like to remind you that I said that I LIKED MGS4 when I first played it. Even today I consider it a good game, at least an 8/10, and I would recommend it to someone who has never played it. However, my second attempted playthrough (which I obviously started because I really enjoyed it the first time) wasn't enjoyable at all, because I was either sitting through long-winded exposition that I'd already seen, or just playing the handful of playable segments which, in my opinion, weren't particularly fun or interesting enough to make me continue my second playthrough for very long. So for that reason, I stand by my opinion that MGS4, and other movie games of that era, are good for a single playthrough, and nothing more.
>Meet me at 1AM tomorrow in Orgrimmar, faggot.
That would require me replaying WoW, and I'm sure you can extrapolate the likelihood of me doing that.

Do you have cognitive issues lad? I've written about it enough. I don't think the gameplay on it's own isn't particularly great, I've said numerous times I think it's quite boring. Yes you can skip the cutscenes, but they give the gameplay context and importance, without them it's just a mediocre stealth/shooter. The ratio between cutscene time and play time is way off for my liking, and it's high even by MGS standards according to various sources online (of questionable accuracy), so it's not a view that I'm alone in.
With the cutscenes: long but decent movie overall, with an interesting story and some interactive segments to keep it engaging, but I wouldn't want to play it more than once per decade.
Without the cutscenes: mediocre stealth/shooter that isn't worth playing at all.
If you like to replay the whole thing every year, that's fine, I have games I've replayed a lot too. I'm just not interested in doing so with MGS4, for reasons I've written about at such length that I feel like I've written the script for least half of a MGS cutscene.

>The condition of sexual excitement is the supreme moment of a woman's life. The woman is devoted wholly to sexual matters, that is to say, to the spheres of begetting and of reproduction. Her relations to her husband and children complete her life, whereas the male is something more than sexual. In this respect, there is a real difference between the sexes.
>The female, moreover, is completely occupied and content with sexual matters, whilst the male is interested in much else, in war and sport, in social affairs and feasting, in philosophy and science, in business and politics, in religion and art.
>It is certain that when the female occupies herself with matters outside the interests of sex, it is for the man that she loves or by whom she wishes to be loved. She takes no real interest in the things for themselves.
>The female principle is, then, nothing more than sexuality; the male principle is sexual and something more.

What, that the gameplay segments are short? They are undeniably short, and when you compare the grand total of gameplay time to the total cutscene time, it's ridiculous. Yes it might be the total length of the average action game once you tally it all up, but most of those games, at least prior to the movie-game era, didn't have tons of really long cutscenes splitting them all up. It turns what should have been an average length game, into a 15-25 hour watchathon, and if you already know what happens, it's not worth going through again.
It's a bit like giving me an average sized pizza that's been divided into 18 equal slices, but I can only have one slice per hour. Yes, it's the same quantity as the average pizza, but they're now really thin slices individually, and the time between each slice is long enough to make eating a pizza an arduous experience, just like getting through MGS4 with the cutscenes a second time is. Before you mention that the cutscenes are skippable for the nth time, we've already established that the gameplay alone isn't anything to write home about.
You know, if my old PS3 wasn't a noisy piece of shit that kicks out more heat than my radiator, and overheated in a horrific fashion the last time I tried to use it, I'd give it a third chance.

I notice this every time my mum goes on holiday and I have the house to myself, I suddenly feel motivated to do things and that's usually when I start exercising again. Then it all goes down the pan when she gets home.

I used to get it a lot myself after waking up in the morning and drifting off again. At first I would feel an overwhelming sense of dread and panic at not being able to move, but after realizing that it always ended after a brief period I just accepted it and focused on staying calm. I haven't had it in a while but I don't think it would bother me anymore tbh.

I've had this too. For me the point at which I became conscious of the dream was usually when I was about to wake up. I remember passively observing a few of them but even a slight attempt at interference would mean the end.

I've just been sitting around watching once upon a time today, its absolutely terrible, and I enjoy seeing how stupid they can make it. I actually stopped watching last year because it was so bad I couldn't handle it, but over the last few days I've been watching the series I stopped on. It's bad, but I can handle it now. The older series' were more gimmicky with adding characters from frozen and brave, but this one is just ridiculous plot again. Theres apparently a soft reboot at the end of this series/start of the next one, Im looking forward to it.

For the last decade I've been fairly certain that my life would remain in this state forever, and I've been mostly right so far, even if it is clearly a self-fulfilling prophecy. There was a brief 20 month period where I was gradually improving and things were looking up, but that was over a year ago now.
For the last 12 months I've been unable to keep my momentum going for more than a week at a time, and those weeks usually only occuring once or twice a month. After about 3 or 4 days of having a good sleep pattern, getting showered and dressed, etc., I burn out and fall right back into the old hikki disaster routine. I've mentioned it before, but the drive and the desperation I had to improve my situation in 2015-2016 is nowhere to be found, and now I just feel despondent and apathetic.

Plus even though you do have targets to hit, they tend to be so simple even a retard can do it, and they tend to somewhat make sense to exist as targets.

Drinking on the job was pretty normal. I'd usually drive there and then I'd have to pick my car up the day after because I was too pissed to drive home. All the grey goose and other expensive vodka bottles were just topped up with smirnoff and then had about 1/5th replaced with water. The place was just disgusting though, glasses were never cleaned. We would just splash a little water in and tip it down the sink to get the remainders of the last drink out and any dirt on the glass would just be wiped off with your finger.
Fun job though.

Definitely an interesting one, cheers lad. I'll trade you this, similar in concept in that it's all synths doing classical (Debussy specifically), but this one is a bit more impressive as it's from 1974. Unbelievable how he managed to get all those different sounds out of a Moog modular (which was monophonic, meaning every note of any chord had to be recorded independently), and to piece it together so cohesively in a time long before MIDI or note quantization.

If it's any condolence, she's basically playing a series of watered-down Mozart motifs, so while the spontinuity and fluency of it is very impressive for her age (ignoring that she actually changed one of the notes), musically it's very "safe" and formulaic. Hopefully once she matures, she'll be able to do more than just "left hand = chord arpeggios, right hand = simple single note melody line", and come up with something a bit less rigid and blatantly derivative. A little bit of Jazz training, and perhaps listening to more Romantic era music, would go a long a way in expanding and maturing her musical vocabulary, and make her a real force to be reckoned with.

You can probably imagine, but I very, very rarely eat out. Never eaten out on my own, I just tag along on the rare occasions that my family does. I've eaten KFC loads though, as a kid/teen my dad would take me and my sister every Friday night on the way to his my grandparent's house. I'm really liking the office/bedroom divide, it's got me into a bit of a routine when I get home. I actually put everything away straight away now, since the cupboards aren't overflowing and everything has its place.
So the alarm clock with the light built in worked pretty well this morning, I still slept as late as possible, but it was an actual decision. The light and alarm woke me up well and I was able to actually get up and out of bed, which is more than I can say for most days, however I still felt really tired because I didn't end up going to bed until 1:30, 6 hours sleep isnt really enough so I had another half an hour in bed. Definitely felt better for it.
If I get into a good bedtime routine now, everything will be going really well.
