How I see it.
OSS started the fight.
Gaslighting of solid, dependable baker crew (that [they] call /comms crew) began and has continued since then.
OSS & random bakers breads get more posts and have shitty careless notables, so they are "winning" in the sense of being seen by the majority of anons.
/comms bakers continue baking parallel breads to demonstrate that they are dutiful patriots. However the result is that the pushback from OSS + allies continues, and the breads are split, which is a terrible result.
Wondering:
What would it take to alter the aggregator(s) to handle multiple/parallel breads?
Code change, but wouldn't be too terribly hard…?
What if anons came up with a numbering scheme like #10844a, #10844b etc.?
Q posted in the breads that had the highest post count for the #, just like most anons do.
That does not indicate Q taking a side in the "argument". Q has to post someplace.
/comms bakers are righteously pissed because of the false accusations continually being thrown about them. But being pissed is not sufficient reason to split the breads.
Maybe better for them to consider baking anonymously? Somehow portray that as a more patriotic posture than baking old-style breads?
I could be wrong about all of this. But when I was baking with the /comms frens, I KNOW I was not doing anything bad, and did not see anything bad that baker frens were doing either.
OSS, by keeping on posting the HUGE collections of graphics blaming certain bakers, (1) then accuses /comms bakers of excluding notables (HIS 'notables') and (2) divides the attention of some of the most attentive anons, who developed their attentiveness due to continually baking.
Whatever the cause, split breads is very detrimental.

How am I? Very fatigued indeed. But hanging in there, day by day. Found some new tasks to keep out of trouble, kek.
Actually have had some good (personal) things happen lately -
Found a locally grown source for CBD oil, kek, I was at the feed store buying some sunflower seed for the birds and there it was on the counter. Seems to be the good shit, helps for sleeping & inflammation.
Got one of our monster grocery shopping trips done - during this fake pandemic we like to stock up with 3 weeks worth of perishables, so we have a lot of nice fresh food in the fridge right now. Salad mmmmm….
Got a long-standing comms problem fixed and our internet is gud now.
Put the burial of my dad's ashes behind us and had a Zoom interaction with distant fam and sent them a thoughtful 3-page remembrance of my dad. Some cousins I haven't seen in decades are talking.
So, a lot to be comfy and grateful about.
Trying to stay upbeat and chipper and help out where I can.

good topic for an Op-Ed IMO. How do you balance letting people buy what they want with the negative that more people will start using if it gets totally legalized? I think it makes young people lazy. Is CBD use less recreational?

>young people lazy.
Do I look lazy? No seriously, do you evaluate me as a lazy person? Started smoking weed at 16. Many decades not using, while employed in corporate world. Now using occasionally, generally not while working. I know another person, a longtime user who uses small amounts throughout the day: a high performance athlete and autist. CBD is different though (a compound from the hemp plant), it does not get you "high" as does THC, but contains beneficial compounds that counteract inflammation and interact with the body's native cannabinoid receptors. Did you know your body has cannabinoid receptors? Why would God have put them there? Should alcohol be banned? It could be argued that overuse of alcohol makes young people lazy! and it plainly can be tied to serious illnesses and substance abuse in some people. What about sugar? Should that be banned? Because it's probably more unhealthy than cannabis. Causes weight gain, metabolic syndrome, inflammation → underlying cause of many (most?) chronic diseases? Maybe we should ban artificially processed polyunsaturated vegetable oils. When used to replace naturally occurring dietary animal fats, causes weaknesses/abnormalities of the cell walls in every cell of the body, again a major contributor to chronic disease.
THINK! That's a popular notion, but
is is true? If true for some people, is it universally true for everybody?
If we had complete true freedom as the Founding Fathers wrote in the Declaration of Independence, then people would be entirely free to decide how to nourish and/or medicate themselves. Some people would make bad choices and that's on them. Some would make good choices and that's on them.

Obviously so. You take it before bed. If it makes you feel a bit drowsy that's good, then you sleep better, while your body heals a bit.

then I don't have a problem with it, I was thinking about thc related. I didn't say weed makes EVERYONE who takes it lazy, you're obvoiously a hard worker but there are lots of kids who don't do anything but get high and play video. I don't want that for my son so why would I want it for someone else's? And the industry is run by commies/"globalist" types. A strong government should protect its people from them.
People should be free to medicate yes but products like opium or coke or pornography (and to a lesser degree weed) that hurt large blocks of the population should be prohibited or regulated.

This is mainly true for how it s distributed.
Your weed dealers sell coke and tries to get you to buy some because it is good for "him"
If these items could be bought in a normal manner and you could talk to the sellers of them like I can with others drugs there would less abuse.

This line of discussion makes me think about how the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) got started.
https://www.fda.gov/about-fda/fda-basics/when-and-why-was-fda-formed
Though FDA can trace its origins back to the creation of the Agricultural Division in the Patent Office in 1848, its origins as a federal consumer protection agency began with the passage of the 1906 Pure Food and Drugs Act. This law was the culmination of about 100 bills over a quarter-century that aimed to rein in long-standing, serious abuses in the consumer product marketplace….
*
What really happened. People were selling adulterated products, like we have seen more recently where dairy products in China were contaminated with melamine (plastic) powder. Only back in the 19th-early 20th century, it was stuff like diluted milk with chalk powder added. Or patent medicines containing poisonous ingredients. Basically a free-for-all.
So MAYBE the FDA was started with a moral purpose. Or maybe it was intended from the outset as a control vehicle.
But what it has turned into…
The passage of the 1906 Pure Food and Drugs Act gave license to start regulating all kinds of consumable products. A very long list of 'commonly used ingredients' were grandfathered in. That list was (and STILL IS) referred to as GRAS, Generally Regarded As Safe. Some of them are NOT safe, consider that red food colorings are now up to what, #40? Each of the prior ones was replaced because of safety concerns. GRAS ingredients are not necessarily safe, but they are legal. (BHA, BHT, baking powder containing aluminum compounds, etc. etc. very long list).
Then industry alliances were formed and the revolving door of industry scientists moving to the FDA and vice versa. And the decision to let the industry self-regulate ("we tested it, you can approve it now"), since the FDA was not funded to do actual testing of substances, and industry pushed back to protect their trade secrets.
What is needed, IMO, is a completely different way to regulate the marketplace and ensure healthy products for consumers. Something like independent testing labs or consumer reports (not cap C cap R, that org is probably comped), and let the labs prove their trustworthiness and compete against one another, and let the consumer choose.
Something between a total libertarian free-for-all and our current jungle bureaucracy that is totally dominated by the manufacturers who want their products approved.
Aspartame? Coca-cola funded sugar study? 50% of scientific studies unreproduceable because the data were cherry-picked or made up? Peer-review system that is totally compromised? Nutrition pyramid that tells people to eat primarily carbohydrates?
I don't know the solution, but the current system is rigged against the consumer and in favor of big ag, big industry, big pharma.
Kind of a pet peeve of mine.

>It makes me have crazy dreams compared to THC.
I was reading lately, about turpenes, those strongly odored organic compounds found in all sorts of plants.
https://hightimes.com/guides/what-are-terpenes/
The fragrance of pine trees, cedar, pinyon, chrysanthemums, etc. is due to specific turpenes for example. The dank stench of marijuana is due predominantly to another one. Anyway the article said weed contains about 10 different turpenes but different strains have them in different proportions, and VERY LITTLE is known about how the turpenes interact with the THC and CBD and other psychoactive components. The article suggested that more research was needed to find out how different turpene profiles affect users and potentially act to benefit different health conditions.
So much research still needed.
When I moved to a non-prohibition state my first visit to the Store I bought 1 gm of a dozen varieties and was trying each one thinking maybe I could decide which one(s) I liked the best. It became impossible to decide.
Sometimes the exact same weed is a totally different experience. There is a subjective component. Then there is the so-called "ensemble effect", known and studied, but not well quantified.
I don't get crazy dreams from CBD though, kek. Sometimes just wide awake and unable to sleep because stuff is running through my mind. Sometimes really good restful sleep. IDK. Life is weird.
