All of the releases look bad, just don't get the BDs because they're upscales from the DVDs and you get better quality and smaller filesizes by just watching the DVDs and using a better upscaler yourself. However, I haven't checked if the DVDs have messed up framerate and if it's fixable (they probably do and it might be fixable because that's the standard for DVDs).

Why don't more uploaders use av1 encoding? It seems like it is the best at preserving image quality while vastly reducing size. You can get a single episode down to 100 mb while still preserving most of its quality.

i watch all my anime at 1.5x regular speed now. the following equation is the curve of how many seconds (y) there are in a minute if you add speed modifiers in increments of 0.x to your anime watching speed. (ie 1.1, 1.2 etc)
