In case an anime doesn't require it's own thread for discussion.
Also if the season just started and you're unsure wether to make a thread for it, post here instead.

>cute witches doing cute things
it seemed to be about mc finding her lost sister at the beginning of the season but the story has evolved to some weird magical girl - witch conspiracy to try to control the witches instead of eradicating them. the plot is kind of hard to follow now since each of the girls have had their own arcs which really muddled the story.
still puzzled as to why the spear girl gets the entire ED to herself when she's a side character at best.

I guess the emphasis on all of the different background arcs is because the game has a bunch of different playable characters and the plot is a justification for lots of (derivative) playable content. What was, apparently, setting up the original plot was probably just a tutorial.
Haven't played it though, just speculating. No idea about the ED but it's a good question. She has one of the better designs in the show though.

ARP Backstage Pass is an bloated idol show that you can say is padded with music because the documentary style story it's trying to tell is so mundane that you wonder why anybody funded it. The only decent episode so far is 7 since it isn't about the boring backstory of the members. Just a member talking with his poorly drawn superego determining if he's sad. AR segments at the end are decent since it feels like at times they are shitting on their own anime, even though I don't think that is their intention.

Anyone else watching Pet? It's been pretty good the last couple of episodes. The show is strongest when it's focusing on the main two characters.

Right?! I like anime, but I never seriously thought about touring in japan, until recently. Yuru camp and Yatogame were a deadly combination to my finances, I might plan a trip for the next year.

I actually liked it quite a bit, and the animation actually looked good this time. I'm glad that the story is focused on Akagi/Kaga/Orochi, rather than being pulled in many different directions. Also, I see three different directions that the final episode can go in. We'll either get a bittersweet ending where Kagi/Akagi don't make it, a happy ending where they do, or a cliffhanger for either a second season or a new anime.

I had this thought in mind watching the last episode and it totally fits. I wonder if "peak giving" is a metaphor for giving out poz loads and the time they spend in peaks is just a way to censor gay sex.

I wouldn't worry too much. While it is possible that they won't make it, I would say that it is more than likely that they do. This season could be used to explain why all of the factions were able to come together against the Sirens.

I was just looking at the upcoming season and there's a lot that I don't care about, but there is both Jashin-chan S2 and pic related. The eternal glory of Nihon- anime paid for with taxes. Is that how Zombieland and Yatagome-chan were funded?

Just perusing the overviews for next season here's what caught my eye
Gal to Kyouryuu- seinen comedy short about a girl who finds a dino that starts living with her
https://youtu.be/Y1W3iIA5T9U
Gleipnir- supernatural mystery, boy can transform into a giant furry costume
https://youtu.be/e1fBvRfIlo4
https://youtu.be/Tr_nBgSuksA
Sakura Wars- it's been a couple season since I watched anything mech, but for me it's always the quality of the cgi that makes or (usually) breaks it for me
https://youtu.be/Kn1VM_3YyGI
Then there's Trigger's raccoon thing (has its' own thread), Jashin 2, No Guns Life 2. Kaguya-sama 2 is there to but I dropped the first one, maybe I should give it another shot.
For OVAs: Psycho-Pass, OP, Violet Evergarden, Slime and Konosuba.
Looks sort of weak to me. But I'm wrong about pretty much everything so idk.

Pet is coming together pretty nicely. The last episode was great. It's all kind of slow but I also think the suspense carries over/builds from week to week fairly well. Sets up a dramatic final episode.

One thing that I wouldn't have guessed by the first few episodes is how character-driven it is. I think with paranormal anime there's a tendency to have fucky magical endings with a deus ex machina, but this has been very consistent and most of the twists and turns have been the characters interactions with each other.
Admittedly this is a dumb criticism but I think I would've viewed the whole series a little differently from the beginning if they made a couple of the characters females, it could've avoided so much homoerotic tension that distracted from things. Like is Tsukasa really going to do all of this shit so he can go have a platonic relationship with Hiroki who's most likely going to hate him by the time he's done with everything?

Same. It wasn't a bad anime, could have had a better production value, sure, but it was a nice way to adapt teh manga to anime. I'm surprised it wasn't done earlier, the manga is pretty old already.

I liked Pets ending, capped off a pretty good show and the stuff I watched made for a pretty good season overall.
Now for Pet 2: the psychics try to escape the Kremlin and their superweapons who are hunting them through Siberia not because they're aware of their psychic powers, but because they're faggots.
