Looking at it, pretty much went as I expected, the Tanahashi vs ZSJ match was more of a letdown though, also because of being on the tails of Enzo and Cass' bullshit.

Anyway, for those who didn't care to tune in (and I don't blame you): Hall of Fame was actually pretty good (well, that last induction, anyway - didn't give as much of a flying fuck to see the rest because G1 seemed more interesting this year).
Surprisingly comfy, the nostalgia hit right home, and everything got pretty emotional and sweet whenever Chyna was mentioned. Hope they don't bring out these geezers as a group ever again, this felt like an actual good enough sendoff

Gonna have to goto to medium good, in terms of stars, im thinking 3.5 stars. Some of it was shit (mostly ROH, the ladder match and bully's OW MY BALLS TWICE! probably the worst offenders). I thought the 4 way tag match was pretty good (but overshadowed by the enzo shit) and ZSJ was painfully boring for a guy who obviously deserved better .
Final Verdict

>Worst then Nxt? Yeah but I think nxt is gonna age worst (no one wants to see people's retirement matches that are obviously more about the retirement then the match).

As a final thought, I don't think either company will pull up this ever again, ROH's portions of the show left a REALLY bad aftertaste in everyone's mouth and there were too few NJPW matches to balance out and outshine the bad job ROH did, so if they want to sell-out MGS again they'll have to ditch the ROH shit for good and book something to get the smark cream in their pants like another Okada/Omega or Ibushi/Okada

Probably the only reason it sold out in the first place was because of Elitefags who expected Elite guys to be at the show, possibly with Kenny Omega main eventing as the IWGP Heavyweight champion. On their own, ROH and NJPW can't sell it out, ROH is too shit and NJPW still has a lot of work to do especially since Elite guys left, the people they built the whole western expansion around, reminder that the G1 Dallas show only sold like 2000 tickets till now. Okada/Omega likely could sell it out but that seems unlikely any time soon, don't really think Ibushi/Omega can do it. Okada definitely looks like the japanese guy that is most over in USA though. Oh and another ROH/NJPW co-show like this won't sell out the show either.

G1 was half good half bad
White okada was honestly just OK, nowhere near the level it needed to be at to main event this show. Ospreay cobb, jr title, naito vs ibushi, PCO, and parts of the ladder match were all great but everything went WAY too long and the ROH crap sucked balls. If the main event was better I'd say it was still a great show but as of now it was just okay

I honestly think giving it less then 4 stars would be wrong, that's better then okay. I think you could make an arguement that the okada match and the ibushi match add together to about 9 stars depending on which one you preferred.
