I don't know anything about Vietnam except Vietnam war vets are often fucking crazy because they're drugged up by weird meds given to them by the VA and there was some documentary about toxic fish farms on YouTube. Did you guys poison American soldiers with bad fish? If only Vietnamese food was a little better there wouldn't be so many suffering from post traumatic stress.

your clearly dont understand how PTSD come from and how ppl suffer from it originate from

no, it isnt about poisoning, its more about mind and psychology

vietnam war is diffrent from ww1 and 2. Where you have a clear front and enemy wearing uniform, but here in nam, anyone you see on sight could, unfortunately, a enemy of your. You see a cute kid at the age of 8 playing near your base are smiling at you, you think that Vietnam isnt that bad like ppl say, and you might even consider travel to Nam when the war is over. And after that, that kid throw at you a grenade, killing your comrade and hurting you. That is just an example of thing that you gonna face if you are an american soldier stationing in Nam

also, booby trap is another factor. Nearly 20% of american and allied forces casualties are cause only by booby trap. It certainly dont kill a lot, but the effect on ppl mind are, if anything, huge impact.

In addition to the obvious ability of booby traps to kill or injure, their presence has other effects such as these:

Demoralize soldiers as booby traps kill or maim comrades

keep soldiers continually stressed, suspicious and unable to relax because it is difficult for them to know which areas, buildings or objects are safe

slow down troop movement as soldiers are forced to sweep areas to see if there are more booby traps.

make soldiers cautious instead of aggressive and confident

create no-go areas (real or imagined) after a booby trap has killed or wounded someone

cause a section or platoon to have to stop in order to deal with casualties, thus slowing and delaying those troops

create confusion and disorientation as a prelude to an ambush

also, fighting a war far away from your home, lost the support of the ppl in your country only make thing worse. One example of it is draft dodger

OMG, you must work for the fish farm industry. Every morning I wake up sweating and crying from nightmares about the time when grandpa lived at home with me and my parents before he got sent away to the asylum. He used to ambush me and my friends with rotten farm raised fish on our way to the bus stop to school.

Out from behind the telephone pole. *SLAP SLAP SLAP* right on my nose and bits in my mouth. When I went to school I smelled like sardines and looked like I bathed in grease because of the fish oil in my hair. Then at school nobody would sit next to me and I got bullied everyday. The teacher even called me aqua man! When it came time to turn in my homework, I would always discover the papers had been turned into stinky fish rolls, so I got straight F grades on all my work. I hated school, but I was terrified of returning home, because grandpa always wired up the house with Vietnamese commie booby traps that assaulted me with exploding catfish and fish gruel. I eventually figured out how to disarm the traps with a fish bomb sniffing war cat but grandpa just slapped me silly with his fish meat anyway, and the cat died after an episode of violent, explosive vomiting and bloody diarrhea after eating grandpa's fish. Going to sleep was difficult. I could never find peace and fet ready for bed. Brushing my teeth was hell, because all the toothpaste would get swapped out for fish paste.

This all climaxed one night when I had to get up to take a piss and I accidentally walked in on grandpa furiously masturbating with fish oil and grunting obnoxiously. The scene was horrifying. Matted, slick, black body hair greased up and down his legs and chest with sweat pouring down his red, straining, tense face all the way to a disgusting yellow, oily puddle on the floor. Before I could look away, a sharp, overpowering odour caused me to vomit and pass out. Later I awoke in bed with grandpa. Terrified, I tried to escape, but I was tied up in fishing lines. I turned around to discover naked grandpa wearing fish net stockings and approaching my exposed rear end. I screamed for help but then I remembered mom and dad had left a note on the fridge which said "Gone fishing".

It's been 10 years since that horrible night, but wouldn't you know it, the insane asylum called last week to inform us grandpa is a reformed man who can be integrated back into society as long as he takes his medication. He's back right now watching a fishing show on the TV in the living room. I decided to take a peek in the medicine cabinet to see what he's been prescribed. It must be in his luggage still because the only thing in there was a bottle of omega-3 fish oil
