In yuri there should be characters who are exclusively lesbian from beginning to end, as well as characters who are het, and characters who are gay, to show that there are three types of sexuality in the setting that do not overlap.
the lesbian characters only interact romantically and sexually with other females, the hets only with members of the opposite sex, and the gays only with other males, from the day they were conceived, there is no doubt of what they are attracted to romantically and sexually, and there are no exceptions regarding individuals that fall outside of their preferred sex, no blurriness involved, and what's more, homos find the opposite sex repellant in the romantic/sexual sex, while hets find the same sex in the same way, homos in the closet would not date a beard but rather simply remain single, basically, if you're gay you are gay for all your existence, while straights are eternally straight.
most yuri has lesbians who've been with guys in the past, past relationships, past attractions, past sexual experiences, etc.
these are typically found among the big names of the genre: revolutionary girl utena, girlfriends, citrus, etc.
another thing I want to do away with is the gender-swapping, changing sex, futanari, other trannyshit, as for traps and reverse traps, I'd have lesbians able to fall for traps, but the attraction to go away when the true sex is exposed, same for gays with reverse traps, and straights for both (attracted to a member of their preferred sex, but attraction disappears when they discover that they in fact belong to the sex they are not attracted to).

Kolo broke the board in so many ways through his terrible memes and board policy decisions. He drove away so many users and changed the board culture to one that talked about politics far more than yuri. Protoman and him would constantly have it out in the IRC and the only reason Proto didn't push to have him kicked off board staff years ago over the BBC spam and other terrible political memes was because the BO k712 kept going into the hospital for a over a month at a time. Proto didn't have the heart to force this shit on k712 when he got back out of the hospital and so we arrived at the current state of affairs. It also didn't help that k712 was so drugged up at times he couldn't understand what Kolo was doing. Proto had to actually physically explain it to multiple users over IRC and by then Proto had gotten so jaded with the board for just accepting the BBC cuckspam, shitty shiznat edits, & political memes it he just rolled over and died. Kolo was also directly driving out female posters whenever they came on which is funny because women read tons of manga and would have naturally enjoyed his manga releases and the board would have been vastly more active.
I wish he had never gotten on staff looking back. k712, Proto, & cythna would likely still be around. If he had never been on staff back in 2015/2016 when the board first started growing and we never banned everything Kolo got us to ban (basically everything that wasn't 100% japanese yuri and then made the culture so anti everything else that even if it wasn't banned it was basically uncool to post) we could have been a far more active board that actually discussed all sorts of yuri and produced it's own content.

He also was the direct cause behind ACK and k712's falling out and led to all the spam across the board. Protoman repaired their relationship but they had another falling out later over Kolo/SHiN again that never got mended. Protoman & k712 eventually came to the conclusion that the only way to defeat ACK was to simply let him post till he tired himself out and then only delete his posts if he spammed and allowed him to say whatever he wanted for however long he wanted on IRC and they even responded back and argued with him for the entire duration. After a few days ACK got tired said fuck it all and that's how this board became the only board to ever defeat ACK.

This was also an 8ch problem since /v/ and /pol/ had been declining for years after 2015, but it's very odd how we went entire years without gaining +10 ISPs despite putting out doujin releases on sadpanda. I know it's almost pointless to try and rely on getting users from sadpanda with non-H stuff since non-H gets next to no views there, but we did put out plenty of H there anyway and still no one wanted to come to our board.

That is very true.
I'm not sure if /a/ has grown or slowed down since 2015 because they're still very active on smug, but all of the other boards still have declined since the first exodus. Even after the supposed second and third exodus, board ISPs have been declining.
The only board to gain as much if not more users and activity than /v/ did on the first exodus is all of the Q boards. Those boards have managed to generate more posts per hour than any board here and possibly on 4chan as well. They're like a cult with how much they devote themselves to Q, and then every time you look up some 8ch related news online they're always in the comments talking about how patriotic 8ch is or some shit.
They've replaced us as the majority of this website. In the 2000's image boards were supposed to be a place to talk about anime, video games and other weeb stuff, now they're for boomers to talk about their retarded conspiracy theories about how great some supposed white house insider is. I'm pretty sure it's impossible for us to get 4/u/ and Dynasty refugees now with this site's reputation as boomerchan.

Getting my boards back was a slog. I emailed who I thought was Ron over and over, did lots of research on what to email, went on Twitter, DMed him. Wasn't until a month later when I replied to one of his tweets again that I got his attention and my boards back.
I think I was lucky in getting this back. One of the <338 chosen few.
What was he thinking? Did he really expect every 8chan user to have a Twitter? Because that was your only hope in getting your board back.

I forgot why, but the meidos reduced the page limit to 1 and have left it completely unmoderated. I believe their official reason is because something with the mod tools doesn't work anymore, but really it's pretty clear it's due to a combination of everything this site's staff has done to sabotage it so they want nothing to do with this place anymore.
Without /a/ I don't see the other boards lasting long since they were one of the top 3 most active boards since the beginning.
I think we should do that here too and leave a giant link to smug/yuri/ or wherever we decide to go to next. At this point what we need is a fresh start somewhere else, the earth has been salted here.

Yeah. Jim and Ron completely abandoned us, the anime/vidya/japanese culture/otaku OG chan userbase. In fact, I don't think they were ever aware of us to begin with, and hotwheels wasn't substantially better. They did a great service on 8chan by hosting the site for us, but at this point it's just horseshit. It's become clear that this site was a great fluke that now finally had reality take over.
