In this thread, we complain about why movies and shows suck so much. Just let it out of your system.
And recommend ways to improve movies and shows.

I hate how dialogue sounds the same. Characters either have shitlib speak or nigger speak.

All the writers now haven't really lived lives. They have watched a lot of media though. All they can do is regurgitate what they have ingested.

That is so true. They only thing they can bring to a script are the other movies they have seen. That has to be one of the big reasons why everything seems so flat. Even when they attempt to create something powerful or dramatic seems artificial.

No surprise as that's all they seem to hire to write stuff these days. White men have to set up their own thing to be writers. Like that guy who writes the Monster Hunter books. Notice no one is lining up to option his very popular stories.

I dont know bro. I sometimes wonder if its just how people think now. Like how a person speaks is not an expression of their personality, but their larger-group identity. I imagine that always existed in some sense. Rich talk one way, poor another, but its like the writers cannot differentiate beyond that.

I hate how bad sets and costumes are. Like how can a cheap 80s fantasy have better sets, costumes, and props than Ring of Power and Wheel of Time.

(((they))) have successfully limited the language with their shitty education system. People literally can't think because they were never taught logic, rhetoric and critical thinking.

I;ve always been curious what are the psychological effects of limited someone's vocabulary. We all know what it is like to hear someone say something like
>I have an idea but I don't know how to day it.
Now this is fine for a child, but when I hear an adult say that, it stuns me. We are exposing people to concepts without giving them the language to express it. Strange, really.

Without a doubt. Those films look fantastic. And its not just the sets, but the actors knew how to act in a period piece. They knew how to wear the costume, speak the lines, and have the mannerisms that clearly presented their characters as being from a certain period. When a modern actor plays a period piece, they cannot leave their modern mannerisms behind. Its like actors cannot act like other people anymore, which is very strange to write.
I sometimes wonder if it is something like this. Method acting is now the default acting school. Actors are taught to inhabit the role and become the person. But if the actor is like any modern retard whole has zero knowledge of the world and its history and culture outside of a very small social media bubble, then they cannot method act.

I think a lot of it is really just part of the competency crisis that is sweeping all of society. I'm sure a lot of it with the new crop of actors is how many of them have worked on "sets" where all they have to work with environmentally is being in a blue screen room looking at ping pong balls taped to the wall. Another component to consider is that Hollywood doesn't really focus on making movies for the domestic market anymore, and that half of the audience is going to listen to a dub in Mandarin.

Demographics have changed a lot in the last 20 years.
Almost all modern media (TV, Film, Vidya) is made specifically for the primary demographic.
