Most of US westerns up until the 90s are terrible. Spaghetti westerns are so much better with their dirty look and their anti-heroes. Also the villains have much more depth and character.

even the pasta war movies from that time period i liked a lot.
and there was that one miike film. dunno if its been mentioned in the thread but was called sukiyaki django or something? was a fun take on the old western. since most samurai movies were essentially the same as most western plots.
