Sure, they were incompetent, but compare their show to the Sorosflix Witcher one where a witch gets fucked by a nigger while white boomers clap and you get some perspective. Shit, just look at any of the prequel show proposals, which are basically just "fuck ypipo, we wuz kangz 'n shieet". Niggers during the long night, niggers were the real valyrians, etc.
They did push some heavy feminism and shit, but most of the time they killed them off in satisfying ways. The sand sneks got wrecked, Kelly C turned into femSheev, Cersei got btfo. The only two assholes who survived were the Stark cunts, what's her face, the redhead who aged like milk, being the worst offender since she was so unlikable and didn't earn anything, especially not getting special treatment at the end.
I think that at some level they actually liked the source material, which was pretty kikey to begin with, and thus didn't wipe their asses with it as they could have. Everything went to their heads when they shortened and wrote the last season though, but again, that was them being bad writers, not trying to pozz up the material.

Think we all lucked out they started making the show in 2011, before SJWs crying for diversity on social media was a thing. Very much doubt they would to the show with an all-White cast today.
And, as you mentioned, the story doesn’t follow the typical tropes of the fantasy genre. It doesn’t follow the hero’s journey structure either, and there is plenty of sex and over-the-top violence – an effort to make the story realistic. That sex and violence probably had a part in why they did an all-White cast too.

I really don't think they intended to fuck up the last season, even if it was rushed and badly written. They did follow the outline the fat one provided them with and they didn't go full pozzmode. Yes, it was fanfiction tier, yes, it was a sloppy mess. But there's no obviously intentional sabotage here and they tend to be rather blatant about it when they set out to take a shit on something.
It's not as if the series had this magical conclusion that was great anyway, Gurm still hasn't shat out another book and even if they stretched it out for more seasons there's no point to the story, no answer to any of the mystery seeds planted. No catharsis to be found in any of the things that were set up. You can't possibly end something like that on a high note.

Cersei got kind of boring tbh, she needed more passion and sadism to be enjoyable. Personally I rooted for the night king, it would have been great if they didn't have thick as fuck plot armour during the zombie invasion and the undead actually wrecked their shit, the final showdown taking place at King's Landing. It felt like it was the logical conclusion of the show and its themes. That the heroes don't win at the end.
