Masterpiece Optimus Prime (MP10) is coming back out in May on Ami Ami for about $130 before shipping.

I owe a certain somebody a columbian necktie for fucking up my attempts at buying one for a friend.

I'm still not sure if I'm going to buy it, or an AK-47. My AR-15 is lonely, but so is my G1 Prime.

Is there a separate board for Transformers? If not, then it would be great if there was one.

I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of SJWs within the transformers fandom. Any particular reason why?

Would anyone be interested in making a /transformers/ board? I myself don't want to be the creator because I don't trust myself enough to mod or admin it properly.

Well if that's the case, I won't bother then.

On the subject of Transformers, I've noticed that Masterpiece Megatron is a lot bigger than Masterpiece Optimus Prime. I didn't like that design wise because it seems out of place to have Prime's equal in rank tower over him. Which is why I prefer the third party Apollyon X-Transbot since it matches Masterpiece Prime in height.

Also, I have noticed some SJWs within the Transformers fandom. Some notable examples being the writer of that shortpacked webcomic and that snake lady who thinks that the G1 Cartoon Decepticons were victims of oppression.

What are your thoughts on this?

It might be an increase due to the IDW comics and the inclusion of female transformers… Also transformers do actually get into relationships. But it's tough for me to call it gay cause female's weren't even thought to exist in it until pick related

>snake lady who thinks that the G1 Cartoon Decepticons were victims of oppression.

The comics answer this as well. Don't get me wrong it's a great story, but Megatron is several commies combined.

>The comics answer this as well. Don't get me wrong it's a great story, but Megatron is several commies combined.

Oh don't get me wrong, I wasn't saying that it was a bad story at all. Hell, I own a copy of Megatron Origins myself.

It's just that in the cartoon continuity Megatron was just a straight up 80s cartoon villain without any hints of a sympathetic background story like his IDW counterpart had. So the Snake Lady's notion of "Decepticons Good, Autobots Bad" don't make a whole lot of sense when it comes to the cartoon continuity.

Also, the TFWiki has some shades of SJW-like thought that appears in certain articles. One example is that they sited "radical feminist SJWs" in their article about the ruined forever concept. Another example is that they dubbed the last season two episode of the G1 cartoon as misogynistic for some scenes. They dubbed it as the worst episode ever, but when I watched it, I found it to be average, so I felt like they were making it more of a big deal then it needed to be.

But back to the topic of toys. I've always been and on again off again collector of transformers toys whenever I was interested in them. I would always try to collect the entire toyline of a specific franchise as a kid but give up since I didn't have the means to pay for them myself or the patience to take the collecting slowly. But now that I'm older and have relatively more discipline than my younger self, I've been thinking about collecting the Generations line since I got two of them (Generations Sandstorm and Generations Doubledealer) at a local anime convention. Other than Amazon, where could I get some Generations toys online?

bigbadtoystore.com

tfsource.com if you want fan made stuff. Some quality figures.

Also check out seibertron.com that's probably the best online resource for all things Transformers related.

Other than online? From what i've seen, Target is the last hold out for pre-combiner wars figures. Their stuff is pretty sparse as well. They're hoping someone buys it. That's where I bought Whirl a few months ago. K-Mart surprised me a few months ago having the reissued insecticons

I've only used the first two and they're pretty good. I used TFsource for a few third parties. I was only unsatisfied with one figure and that was because the robot mode left something to be desired.

I'm going to look at the chose prime though. They appear to have several figures that the others do not have in stock.

Hello TF General. I'm trying to create a database (if you can call it that) for every transformers character (except for non-combatant organics such as humans or whatever) to ever exist. So I have a question for you all.

Are there any websites that list every Transformers character name by their debut year? I'm not talking about every incarnation of Optimus Prime or Megatron, I'm talking about the years that the names "Optimus Prime" or "Megatron" where first used in Transformers fiction. For example, the names "Bulkhead" and "Wing Saber" debuted in the Energon line while the name "Lockdown" debuted in the Animated line.

So to reiterate, what are the best Transformers websites to use if my goal is to make a list of every character name to have ever been used in Transformers fiction?

Thanks for the help mate. So do I just browse the disambiguation pages category to find out when each Transformers character name debuted?

Also, what about websites like TFArchive, Unicron.com, Seibertron.com, TFU.info or any other fan sites like those? Or am I just better off using the TFWiki for my personal project?

Once again, thanks for the help.

I've never really been to Unicron, or TFU.info.

From a quick Glance at TFU it might be just what you need. Keep in mind it only looks at figures.

Seibertron has always seemed like a better place for Transformers news.

>From a quick Glance at TFU it might be just what you need. Keep in mind it only looks at figures.

From what I've seen, so does Unicron. As for TFArchive, I've used it for downloading tech specs, but all they have are the ones from the Original Era and the Beast Era.

So if I want to account for G1 characters (like Arcee) who didn't get a toy of themselves until many years after their debut, I could just look at the disambiguation page category on the TFWiki. Though there are two cons I can think of. One is that some of those pages are either about concepts ('Til All Are One) or non-cybertronian characters. The other issue is that the disambig category doesn't account for characters with just two incarnations. But that could be remedied by process of elimination.

What do you think?

Alright, here's a question. We know the basic lineup of the Thirteen Primes in the Aligned continuity, but in the rest of the multiverse, the spots of Alpha Trion, Amalgamous Prime, Quintus Prime and Optimus Prime get filled out by Logos Prime, Solomus, Epitemus and the Last Autobot.

On one hand, I don’t like the idea of Optimus being a member of the Thirteen Primes like he is in the Aligned continuity. But on the other hand, I’d rather have Solomus and Epitemus stick with being part of the Guiding Hand as opposed to them having membership overlap between the two groups.

So my question for all of you is this. What would your ideal Thirteen Primes incarnation be like?

I've heard that the IDW Thirteen is practically the same as the Aligned Thirteen except the Thirteenth Prime in the IDW-verse is known simply as “The Arisen” by Camien society. (Hopefully Optimus isn't a member of the Thirteen in this continuity.) What I find confusing is that members of the Guiding Hand are also considered members of the Thirteen if their TFWiki articles are anything to go by. But after hours of time wasted thinking about this, here’s who I think the multiverse stand-ins for members of the Aligned/IDW Thirteen are:

Solomus stands in for Alpha Trion because he’s wisdom incarnate while many of A-3’s incarnations are known for their wisdom. (being the archivist for the Covenant of Primus also helps as well.) Logos Prime (and by extension Adaptus) stands in for Amalgamous Prime because all three of them have very similar shape shifting capabilities. ( According to the notes of this old version of Logos Prime’s article, that is: http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/index.php?title=Soundblaster_%28Cybertron%29&oldid=1025775 ) Epistemus stands in for Quintus Prime since he’s knowledge personified while Quintus Prime himself was smart enough to create the Quintessons (at least in the Aligned continuity) but not wise enough to consider the ramifications of his experiments. Autonomous Maximus stands in for Aligned Optimus Prime by virtue of both of them filling up the thirteenth slot of their respective incarnations of the Thirteen. Mortilus on the other hand doesn't really fit into any possible pattern at all. I could see him filling in for The Fallen or Liege Maximo if those spots weren't already taken.

Now lets move on to another topic that's somewhat related. A few months ago, I discovered that Nova Prime was crowned leader of the Cybertronians by Alpha Trion (after Prima's time) in the IDW continuity. Which puts a wrench into how I would personally set up the Prime lineage since it appears to pretty much start with Nova Prime. Luckily reading the comments section of a review for Transformers #47 ( such as this one: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/idw-the-transformers-47-review/34250/ ) gave me some ideas. Even though it seems like Nova Prime was the start of the lineage this image right here ( http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/9/9d/Primes_IDW.JPG ) still shows two silhouettes that came before Nova Prime’s time. With that in mind, there’s a total of three possible scenarios I can think of at the top of my head.

1. Those two silhouettes are Primon (The Alpha Prime) and Prima. In the IDW continuity, Primon would be the leader of the Knights of Cybertron. Which would solve the enigma of why Primon is said to predate Prima despite the fact that Prima himself is characterized as the first Transformer. At least in the IDW continuity, that is.

2. Those two silhouettes are Alpha Prime and Guardian Prime who were chosen by the matrix in the interim between the Knights of Cybertron era and the Thirteen Tribes era. Somehow, unless IDW Prima had his hands on the Matrix, Nova Major encountered Guardian Prime and took it from him by force to declare himself Nova Prime. Thus, Nova Prime would be the beginning of the fake Prime lineage while Optimus Prime would be the third of the legitimate Prime lineage.

3. The writers completely forgot about the two silhouettes in that comic panel and won’t plan on touching up upon that subject anytime soon.

So can any of you anons who read the comics shed some light on the leaders of the Thirteen Tribes and the Prime lineage? I apologize if I got any IDW continuity wrong since I only have basic second hand knowledge on this subject. However, the comics I have been able to read make me want to get the Transformers IDW Collection Hardcovers sometime in the future.

Fuck aligned.

> 3. The writers completely forgot about the two silhouettes in that comic panel and won’t plan on touching up upon that subject anytime soon.

Thats not entirely true since Hasbro likes to pull shenanigans.

If you go by IDW the order is Nova, Nominus, Sentinel, Zeta, and Optimus (Keep in mind these are all primes since the first civil war).Optimus though was actually chosen by the matrix. Nova was chosen by Alpha Trion who is the last of the original 13… Or at least the last active. The original 13 primes were killed or fled Cybertron during the first civil war.

> So can any of you anons who read the comics shed some light on the leaders of the Thirteen Tribes and the Prime lineage?

Thus far we know what you know. Nexus knew the enigma of combination, Onyx knew how to make headmasters.

You really want me to spoil the comics for you?

Thus far:

Onyx Prime fled after Galvatron (who is a scion of the fallen) killed Nexus Prime and Blackrock is actually some sorta part of Onyx Prime

This is all kinda jumbled but yeah…

What do you guys think of them? I like the IDW look of the GT, and the individual modes more, but I think the TW one has much better engineering, and a more unique look to each of the bots.
