Hey /toy/!
4chan /toy/ is already a slow-ass board as it is, it's no surprise we're barely even crawling over here.
Yet we all came here and bothered to post. Maybe we can inject a little more life into this board and get to know our fellow soldiers?

About my collection: My collection is a mix of Western properties, weeaboo shit and miniatures. I tend to collect toys based on nostalgia (pic related was a recent purchase). I generally prefer 1/12 scale figures.
Why I'm here: 4chan /toy/ was my home board, and I loved that board and its community when I first came to it in 2010 (been on 4chan since 2006). But like all things, nothing stays the same with time.
Despite being composed of autistic manchildren, /toy/ used to be one of the "friendliest" and most helpful board on halfchan, and I've felt with the increase in shitposting, much of that old spirit has disappeared.
When the whole GG censorship went down and people started trickling to 8chan, I found my way over here.
I guess I'm just curious what a fresh /toy/ would be like. I'm really glad someone made this board, and I hope people post more.

About my collection: Mostly split between Revoltech/Damashii/etc. Mechs and Figma Waifuu harem from the weeaboo side and Tranformers from the western side.
Why I'm here: Halfchan was fun but infinitychan seems more legit given hotwheels is a base lord compared to m00t(gg,sjw,censorship… you know what I mean). Hopefully we can get more trickle in from that other board since I did like lurking for info on releases.

About my collection: Been into toys my whole life, but I was always limited in terms of collecting since I didn't have disposable income or anything. I got into S.H Figuarts and Bugmen at the start of high school, as well as Figma. Sometimes I'd buy stuff just because the design was cool, regardless of my familiarity with the source material. Since getting a job two years ago, a lot of familiar characters I like have been getting toys, so I don't really need to do that as much. I'm uninterested/unaware of a lot of the anime GSC covers, and while Kamen Rider is cool, I care more for western superheroes and vidya. I also enjoy buying multiple renditions of characters, so ultimately this works in my favor. I've also been getting back into Marvel Legends, with the new Infinite line being pretty good. My favorite toylines are S.H Figuarts, Figma, and Revoltech. I also think Mafex is really promising.
>pic relatedWhy I'm here:
Moot is embracing a lot of terrible policies, mostly ones that censor board and hurt discussion. I'm actually very socially liberal, couldn't give too shits about the "epic war against SJWs" and even I think he's handling things really poorly. GG shouldn't be censored. I don't care for /pol/, but they're entitled to their beliefs as long as they're not hurting anyone. Moot's trying to clean the site up, but doing it in the worst way.
The actual way to improve the quality of our posts, is to listen to us and try to improve the site. That actually happens here. How many boards on 4chan were built on weird rules that community evolved beyond, but moot or his mods never bothered to address? This relates directly back to /toy/, with the whole, "no Japanese figures/statueshit" rule that made no sense.
Halfchan's toy has grown really bad as of late. More Japanese lines are covering Western franchises, which is a great thing! But instead, it's just more ammo to entice another east vs west flamewar. Those looking to cause trouble are well aware of what pisses us off, but the mods and janitors didn't know what to look for or how to improve things.
I'm here hoping to create a better forum.

It's true, that's part of the reason I'm here too. That's such a petty little bitch move that it was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I wasn't sure about leaving halfchan until I found out even mentioning 8chan is a bannable offense if you even manage to get it through.
As far as me, though,
