For me, it's a bit different. I don't like paying for stuff unless I absolutely have to and whether I pay to see is dependant on how desirable is the thing I'm paying for and can I find it somewhere for free.
If it's desirable enough and not available for free anywhere, I just pay to see it and share it with the others to prevent the next guy from having the same problem.
You could take the "to tickle list" games as an example, 3 games available for free, and the rest are on Patreon for like 10 euros. I pay the 10 euros and upload everything to kemono and don't extend my pledge for the next month. Most game makers do monthly releases so unless someone takes over in uploading their stuff I do the same thing for the next release or the one after that.

I think its pirating is a shame, especially if the artist is trying to make it a career but, you're not gonna pay for something that you know you can get for free. What I don't understand is people that beg desperately for one piece of art they can't find that's like $10 at that point why the hell don't you just buy it? You get the whole gallery too and there's no way you can't afford $10 you wouldn't even have internet at that point.

$10 is one week's worth of food here. I have internet because I would kill myself without it (and buying books is more expensive than paying for internet and pirating them). In fact even if I wanted to and had the money to pay I do not think that I would be able to due to limitations and checks imposed by patreon, visa, etc. If I was able to use said services even if I wanted to pay the artists and had the ability to I still would not due to the privacy implications, I do not want my government and some random companies to know my fetishes.
If I am ever able to move out of this shithole and end up collecting enough money I will gladly fund artists that accept a privacy-respecting form of payment.

It very much depends on quality and quantity. There are quite a few "big name" artists who now just churn out one low effort picture every month to keep collecting their Patreon/Subscribestar money.

A few years ago, like a LOT, there was someone on DA who did those weird edits where it’s like a drawn character in a tickling scenario with realistic feet shopped in.
He did one with Kagome tickling Inuyasha, but the shop was pretty good iirc.
