I was downloading MP3s from that activity, but that style of audio didn't grab me. I must've jumped worldlines to here where ASMR was invented by a camgirl in 2016. confuzzed.

Anyway, got back into it while searching for Fawn Cosplay on Youtube when that fad hit, found one labeled "ASMR", and lo-and-behold there was an asmr board on 8chan.

I don't know if I want to be bullied lol. I also don't want to show my face, I am quite shy in front of a camera, so there are still some things to work out production-wise on my end. I'd also like to plan ahead a bunch of ideas so I never am in creative-limbo. It's not a profit-seeking endeavor either, but it sounds like a fun thing to do when I have time off since I spend so much time watching it.

Speaking of going faceless, you have two options. Mouth reveal or eyes reveal. That's the typical hidden identity options. In the age of COVID, I like the mask option and I'm surprised more girls haven't done it. There are tons of theatrical masks, elaborate and bejeweled masks, mardi gras style or ritualistic. Amazon is full of masks to wear to cover your face, full or in part, that could really be used to make your videos and characters more unique. (Think along the lines of a glittery phantom of the opera mask or a fancy masquerade ball mask.) You'd really be the first to make regular use of this if you decided to do this. Ghosted as in like a ghost ship? We have lots of ghost channels adrift in the digital ocean. Are they gone as in dead? It's hard to say, but sometimes you wonder. If they're anonymous and nobody knows them personally, they very well could have died in a car accident and nobody will ever know. There are some creators in the ASMR community that we have confirmed that they have died. I'll give a few examples.

I have to respect her for doing that. I wish more people would take this route, especially if they're not a tiny channel and they actually have fans looking forward to their stuff.

It's really not that fucking hard to just take an hour, make a 5 minute video and say "I'm not interested in doing ASMR anymore because blah blah blah, thanks for watching, bye" or don't even be committal and just say "taking a mental break/life stuff going on, might be back at some indeterminate point in the future, might not", but basically nobody ever does it. Instead they just ghost one day and leave everybody wondering for months until they forget you exist, then either never show up again or randomly pop their heads back up in a year or two and make a half-hearted attempt to revive their now-dead channel.

Seems like innocent enough glowmining, I'll bite.

1. Couple of things. I do get legitimate "tingles" from certain sounds/visual effects . Simulated personal attention feels nice (I won't say simulated "intimacy", since I deliberately avoid anything that feels like gf roleplay. I don't like it, it creeps me out. Somebody pretending to putter over my beard is nice though). Also I have mild tinnitus in one ear and it's annoying for me to fall asleep in dead silence, ASMR makes good background noise.

3. Rustling fabric sounds are my favourite. I also like hard rattling sounds, like you get from ice or from hard candy. Although sadly most hard candy videos are just blowjob sims with a lollipop. I wish I could find more good videos where they used a Werther's or a Jolly Rancher or something.

I get visual triggers from certain things too. Some types of face/camera touching work, it has to be hands (e.g. no brushes) and only certain hand movements work. I also find it very relaxing to watch women brush their own hair.

-Sponsorships in the middle of the video. You need to eat and sponsorships are easy money, I can accept that, I'm not going to unfollow if you decide to spend 2 minutes shilling me some crappy app, but either put it at the beginning or the end. I can no longer relax to your content if I feel like I need to be constantly on-edge in case you pivot into trying to sell me something.

-Lazy editing. You don't need to be a Latte-tier autistic perfectionist, but if you fucking drop your prop either cut it or re-shoot. If you have to do six edits in one minute so you're teleporting around the screen like a super saiyan, cut it or re-shoot. Don't leave massive sound spikes in your videos. My standards are not that high, just don't upload obviously unusable footage.

-Sexual stuff. If I want porn, I'll go watch fucking porn. Sexual ASMR is simultaneously terrible fap material and terrible ASMR, there's no reason to ever watch it. I really don't understand simps sometimes.

It is technically POSSIBLE have some mild sexual pandering in your videos and still be decent quality, but basically nobody does. Bluewhisper did a handful of great videos where there was quite a bit more ass/cleavage than was strictly speaking necessary (really glad I have a copy of that Oktoberfest video she removed), but she's literally the only one I can think of. Everybody goes down the shitter when they start getting sexual.

-Excessive vlogging. I don't want to hear about your degenerate skull-crushingly boring personal life. It makes me like you less. I can skip one video every once it a while but if half your content is "rambles" or "updates" I don't care how nice your voice is. The "ramble" video seems to be falling out of fashion in the last few years, thankfully. That or I've just gotten better at avoiding people who post them.
