What are the adventure paths and modules that you've used and enjoyed that are not specific to a ruleset? Which would you recommend for other people to play or run? I admit that I'm just trying to find things for myself and that the ocean of available content is hard to sift through when reviews are infrequent, always positive, and never helpful so I'm hoping some of you grognards can help me find books that have ideas worth using or picking through.

Or at least some suggestions in the book reading thread, or even the manga thread if nothing else. All of this game material is just blatantly ripped off of better writers. Medieval bestiaries, adventure-type movies, and even video games can all help to round things out.
If you absolute insist on game modules, then Ten Foot Pole is one of the better review blogs for old-school or 5E materials. You can also dig through the old Judges Guild content. Keep in mind this is pretty much all fantasy-leaning, so it won't help you much for other genres.
