Thank you for posting this. I’d never heard of these but I went out and picked some up and Lettow-Vorbeck and Belisarius’s war have me hooked. Any recommendations for really good ones? How are the solitaire ones?

your preference ? usually people pick some battle or era they are interested in and go from there - all these map/counter games are similar - lots of rules lots of pieces

I’ve only experimented with the two previously mentioned so far but I’d like to try some Pike and Shot/Black Powder era stuff. Maybe some of the Cold War games.

this hobby is very time consuming, very low cost , which is what I wanted :)
