If we're thinking about the same project, it died for a while, then the devs came back some time later and finished it. 3rd edition was released a while ago and they're working on extra content for it. There's also an offshoot of 2e that's being developed by another dude related to the main team. They post their stuff to plebbit, but their subreddit doesn't look cancerous at a glance. Pretty much just announcements and rules clarifications being posted.
