I honestly expect it to go a lot like the ROH show. There will undoubtibly be 2-3 great fucking matches tonight (strong contenders, Kofi and Dbry, AJ vs RO, Miz vs Shane, Buddy vs Tony). But the problem is the othe 12 matches that will be shit trying to bridge. Ibushi, Naito, Okada (and to a certain extent cobb and osprey) sold those tickets and made them worthwhile, the rest was shit).

If nothing else hours of preshow and more women's wrestling then anyone wants without a bra and panties match will make sure this takes forever.

not impossible, maybe something with a strong draw/redraw mechanic to make the decks perform consistently and land's replaced with promos. Lay promos to play moves later, organize moves into types (Agi, power, giant, technican and heel). Have lots of the promos be named (so you can play a named deck) but lots also generic/to type. set.

So basically going with two decks that you take alternate turns on. A promo deck and a move deck (I was thinking 15 card promo deck and 30 card move deck with max 3 of a kind and 'legendaries' being capped at 2).

Both Promo's and Moves follow a 5 step layout. All cards are Starters, Mid 1 , Mid 2 , Setup and Finisher. Each card also can affect others (such as disrupting your opponents start, mid, setup, finisher process, boost other cards in certain spots ,etc) .

The idea for play will go something like , draw 5 from your promo deck, you'll then take turns laying out your promo's (for the first part of the turn) from starter, to mid 1, mid 2, setup and finisher. If you cannot lay at a specific slot (aka you lack a card to play in the setup spot) you get skipped that turn but then proceed normally.

Once you layout your promos you lay out your moves .Each promo gives a certain number of points (divided into Agility , Power , Giant, Technician and Heel) that you can use to power your moves. If you don't have the right kind of card (starter, mid, setup ,etc) or the right number of points (3 agility pts, 2 power whatever) you can't play those cards.

The cards deal damage (thinking like 10pts +2 for the head), attempt to submit an opponent (start with 3 countersubmission pts, 0 submission = you submit), work as gainer's to boost the next phase (something like drop toe hold may cost 0 pts and give 1 agility and allow submissions on the next phrase). At the end of the 5 phases of the move part you go for a pin (generally part of a 'finisher' card) and your opponent can kick out (discard cards ) or lose.

If no one loses play resets at promos (althought some cards particularly heel cards will change when exactly this happens) no shuffle, just draw 5 new promos and start the next part of your match.
