Any card game you can play with a single or multiple set of cards.

Poker, blackjack, 358, Piquet, Rummy and the list goes on and on.

Durak is one of my personal favorites. Basically you have to lose your own cards as fast as you can. Cheating is explicitly allowed and to some degree encouraged. Eating sunflower seeds, drinking Vodka and swearing is too.

My family does something we call kangaroo rummy, a variant built out of houserules. As confusing as cricket at first glance. Didn't help that my grandpa would add rules and call it the Florida variant if it gave him a leg up. Some strategy in there, judging who got what suite, risking collecting high cards over low.

The more people the more likely someone will go out before others having even laid their hand down. If you don't pay attention you can get dunked on, hard.

Fun, and so many decks are involved you can mix sets safely.

I just googled kangaroo card. Nice to see some German suites tho

This is probably my most exotic deck outside of tarot/tarochi. Made by commision of the USSR in 1975. Whole East side of the curtain got two kinds of playing cards that year, these being one of them. Based on Mayan symbols and gods, I'd need to be a veritable anthropologist to understand the symbolism.

Can't remember the name but got the deck with this gem of a suicide king.

And found this deck on kickstarter, lucky to catch about three historical recreations/updates like that, one of them made the face cards into their supposed historical inspirations like Caesar, Charlemagne, and Joan of Arc.

I love Canfield. I keep a deck of cards in the glove box and it comes in handy. It’s nice to just turn the phone off sit out side with a cold beer and play solitaire with a Real deck of cards.

First time I'm hearing that. The whole point of Durak is having three thousand different versions and only playing Podkidnoi variant.

I don't really play poker or anything, but I've been fighting the urge to start collecting playing card decks, because there's a ton of really fancy ones out there that tickle my 'tism and make me want to just have a bunch of fancy decks around.

It's a traditional and popular Italian card game.

It's played with the cards I posted, but every region has their own card designs.

The ones I posted are Neapolitan cards and used all other the South, with slight variations in Sicily and Sardinia.

They're based off the Spanish card designs.

You got card designs based on the French, on the German and a few uniquely Italian cards.

Nothing wrong with having a deck or two of fancy playing cards around.

Enjoyed euchre and texas holdem poker the most sober as well as drunk. Euchre needed explicitly four players (at least how I was taught), and gets into weird politics with partners. Biggest problem with poker is that players are slowly knocked out, or get salty about losing money if they are hyper competitive. Always wanted to play baccarat after reading Bond at an early age, but never really had a good chance. Poker is too much of an easy sell, even if the person is not familiar with a specific variant.
