That is exactly my view on open source/free software. There's so much obfuscation by free software advocates about making money. Apart from some very special exceptions, you can only make money from closed source software. Otherwise, someone will just make a free version. It really is that simple. Also, one of the main reasons people contribute to open source is to get a reputation so they can get a job (writing closed source software).

Open source is important, not because copying/modifying software is a fundamental right, but because if there is no practical way to run non-proprietary software, or non-proprietary operating systems, that would be really bad for security/privacy.

TempleOS is not text mode. It is 640x480 16 color VGA mode.

I made a text layer and graphics get drawn on top.

The editor handles graphics sprites. The command-line handles graphics.
