Disney and Kathleen can meme as much as they like about the guaranteed profitability of Star Wars, but there are only so many ways to spin driving your collaborators out of business. Between this and EA fucking up the Shekelfront games Yes, I know that happened because EA a shit and it could be handled well by another company, but there are plenty of people who will look at that and think "star wars games aren't popular" instead of "EA can't make games.", other companies may be less likely to partner up with the Lucasfilm trashfire in the future.
