So yesterday someone sent me a link to a news article revealing that Disney's Star Wars park will be opening on the 31st of May. I am shocked they finished that crap in just 3 years. I thought it wouldn't open until 2023 or so. So how much will it suck? If it was rushed this fast, I'm not sure what to expect.
I saw only like one picture and it looks like nothing from the movies. Just what the fuck is it?

If rumors are to be believed, this entire park was pretty much solely designed by marketers who figured that people would be totally fine with just going to a Star Wars-y area and wander around buying overpriced merch and eating overpriced food, and that any sort of actually entertaining content was entirely unnecessary. Even more hilarious when you consider how the marketing before the park opened was filled with buzzwords about how you'd get to "live the experience" of being in Star Wars, only for the actual park to not even let you do any cosplay or basically have any fun at all.
And any shills optimistic that the park in Florida will be an improvement, thinking that the Disneyland park is just a test run and that they'll be able to put in more stuff with the extra space? Haha, nope, it's literally a carbon copy, the only difference being the Star Wars hotel that will connect to it (and will 100% definitely not live up to the marketing). They're planning on opening one in Paris as well, except even smaller, I believe with only one of the two rides.
One day, Disney's mismanagement of Star Wars is going to be a case study in business textbooks on how not to take over a successful franchise.

The sad thing is that I think Eisner would be a better manager than Iger at this point.
