>"Rian's in the Lucasfilm braintrust group. Everyone at Lucasfilm liked working with him, TLJ went smoothly unlike Rogue One and Solo trainwrecks and J. J. isn't interested in doing Star Wars and spends all his time at Bad Robot"

>"That's why they gave him trilogy. The "slowdown" is literally just going to be 2020 while they do construction at this other studio that isn't Pinewood dedicated to Star Wars. RJ trilogy episode 1 will be released in 2022 and there's nothing anyone can do about it."

Well, that planned break for Star Wars seems to only be a a little over 2 year break instead of the 1 year they had before with release dates set for 2022, 2024 and 2026 in a recent announcement of movies under the Disney/Fox banner. The question is, will it be GoT's D&D who screwed up at the end and tarnished the legacy of GoT but are good at adapting if they have material to work with or Rian, the original expectations subverter who can take a piece of humble pie on twitter?

Both are bad but D&D seem like the lesser of 2 evils at this point. One shitted on a book franchise and ruined future tv spin-offs because they ran out of material and had to rely on their tv writing for the rest of it. The other shitted on a franchise so hard that it had to make Disney course correct to even implement a slowdown. Either way, the Dark Saga of Disney seems like it won't have no end in sight.

The books were by no means great either, but at least they were better than what D&D shat out. I don't know what's gone on the past couple seasons since I haven't watched them, but what they did to Stannis was ridiculous.

When you compare the books to the show, the story that D&D's main motivation in adapting the series was to adapt the Red Wedding comes as no surprise. After that stage it took a hard decline and they seemed to stop caring.

But anon, that's the point. At the very end on Malachor V a LS Exile beats Kreia because her entire philosophy was wrong. In her final moments, her rhetoric falls into the same dark side trap that the Sith dwell in. She thinks she has gone beyond the dichotomy of the Force, yet she becomes the exact thing that she criticizes as she tells the Exile to strike her down. The same way Sidious told Luke to strike Vader down to take his place.

Kreia falls into the same hole as Revan, Vader did, where they try to use the Dark Side to attain a goal, but are blinded and delude themselves as they become drunk on power. Kreia may use some big-brain 110 IQ philosophical words, but she is more like the Sith buried in the Valley of the Dark Lords that she chides more than she realizes.

This thread is reserved for bitching about Rian Johnson. Kreia's philosophy is very interesting and totally irrelevant to this thread because normalfags don't have the patience or intellect necessary to even have an opinion on it, and it's more complicated and therefore gives more room for multiple views of an issue to have valid points than a piece of full-throated liberal propaganda can allow, which means it won't appear in Rian Johnson's movies.

That goes both ways, the fact that the Force is spiritual doesn't preclude you from examining it in exclusively conceptual ways. Honestly in the whole GOT debacle I always supported the blue darth maul because I always thought that all the people in GOT are such assholes and degenerates, that no one deserves to live if anything a night king victory ending would have been superb

<It was Gray Jedi Bullshit

>No! It has the classic view of the Force!

This is exactly what The Last Jedi did.

Only niggers and jews would hate, side against, and depict winter as some how evil or bad.

Winter is the greatest and most beautiful of all seasons.

Done well, winter as the enemy in a Middle Ages setting up could work. Winter is comfy for Euros now because it's no longer a threat. We've conquered it, and made it safe, so we can greet it like an old friend. But imagine a story centered around winters that last multiple years , held at bay but not yet truly tamed. It could have been a testament to the ingenuity and determination of the not-Euro Westerosi. They had to be a little lower time-preference, and set aside the Hebraic-tier betrayal and bickering in order to deal with this existential threat.

But no, instead we got Titties and Dragons: Age of Incest.
