The couple of episodes focused on lightsaber duels actually have relatively decent choreography. Not as good as Clone Wars 2003, but better than most of Filoni Wars, and certainly better than the garbage in Rebels and the Disney movies.

Disney was once a good family company, but after Walt died it slowly got taken over by a mixture of soulless corporate executives and aggressively crazy cultural marxists. Iger is more or less a typical post Obama CEO - stridently liberal in his social politics and conservative in finance. Basically the worst of all worlds. Disney is still a fun place to go and all their old movies are good, but under Iger service at the parks has gone downhill and costs for everything have risen. Disney buying Lucasfilm has been a disaster. Kennedy sucks and Disney basically let her roam free, but they cut budgets also so they started making feminist garbage cheaper. Well the interview would have been scheduled much earlier than his mom’s death, I’m not sure if she was sick or if it was sudden but I can only say it was his choice or his agent pushed him to go to the interview anyways. Since that was his first acting job in a long time the publicity was pretty important, he may have had to sign a contract before saying he would show up hell-or-high-water, and thus could not get out of it. From the stations pov if he canceled they’d have a big slot of time they’d have to fill with something last minute with no preparation, also they probably just didn’t care, I’m sure they though “oh he’s an actor, his mom died so he’ll just act happy”. Though this is all jus speculation.
