>face reveal

>little suspense

>… wow literally who?

In fact, we're just supposed to admire the proud female quadroon at that very moment, so the casting choice, that is to say the high virtue of nu-Lucasfilm: "Look at us right now, we're so (((TOLERANT AND INCLUSIVE)))". That is one of the most obvious moments where you understand this has nothing do with making actual good content anymore, it's all about bullshit exterior to the SW universe in itself. I mean of course we already knew that before, but that may be one of the most obvious signs right here (let's not forget they literally started with jumpscare Boyega in the very first teaser).

It's too bad though because I actually liked her armor/helmet and bike design

It was a basic, "the 'badass' is a GIRL?!?!?!" thing which had been done to death since the 1980s.

She reminds me of that spic lesbian character from the new Wreck it Ralph. All of the characters exclaim and talk about how awesome she is but we never see any of that, we just see an uninteresting bland character who does nothing but execute a few lame flawless action sequences.

Nope, she was just one of the founding members, another member of note is Bail Organa. The Rebellion at it's founding was the coming together of various political figures from the waning days of the Republic.

Hard to find any solid information on that (doubly so because TFU basically makes it so that Starkiller is the one who formed the alliance under Vader's behest) but as far as I can tell Mon Mothma is more known for attempting to fight the empire through legal political means before a warrant was eventually issued for her arrest by the Empire at which point she went in to hiding and began taking more active measures against the Empire as Bail Organa had already been doing for years at that point. She is the political face of the rebellion though so it's not out of the question.

TFU was pretty dumb, yes, but at least it wasn't exceptionally dumb. It wasn't any worse than what you would expect from a game whose premise was a mook-slaying power fantasy. It's not like mouse shit where the worst aspects are constantly referenced in other media in a futile effort to convince people they aren't actually retarded; EU authors realize that the TFU story isn't exactly good and seem to do their best to tiptoe around it.

Sidenote, is there any particular reason TFU is C-canon and not S-canon?

Lucas himself pushed it as another multimedia event a la Shadows of the Empire. No way a big story like that was going to fall under the same label as some 80s comics.

Honestly, my biggest problem with the story is that they made Starkiller/Galen Marek pivotal in forming the Rebellion- though I do like the idea of the Emperor trying to gather his enemies in one place to eliminate them though. Everything else I'm more or less okay with.

Going by that logic, Kyle Katarn from dark forces, the main player character from Jedi Academy, Revan and the exile from KOTOR are Ahsokas as well. They're just as powerful if not more so than Starkiller.

Starkiller pulled a Star Destroyer out of orbit and can fight Vader or Palpatine, which is on the top end of most force feats. Still, it's a video game character doing video game character things. Personality wise Starkiller is just a character controlled by the player who romances a qt blonde imperial pilot. There's not really anything he has in common with Ahsoka except they both were apprentices to the same guy.

iirc, the novelization tones down and reimagines a lot of the action. The way I see it, the game is just a more stylized take on the setting, much like the Genndywars cartoon.

Force Unleashed was a mediocre game that fucked with a lot of pre-established lore and history, but it was technically under orders by the Emperor. According to the game, the creation of the Alliance was to gather all of the Empire's enemies under one organization that, and once all the leaders of the different rebellious factions got together, eliminate them all at once and break the resolve of their supporters. Not my words, just what I remember.

Wait, what did Fang Zar do aside from oppose Palpatine?

>Fang Zar was a firm believer in a decentralized government and strong civil liberties. He commanded great respect among his colleagues as a result of his unwavering idealism and straightforward discourse. However, Palpatine's aides and allies kept close watch on the aged Senator.[1] While in office, Zar became close to several other delegates who shared his political philosophy. His views were so similar to those of Garm Bel Iblis that the two Senators could have been one and the same.[4] Fang Zar's outspoken and defiant nature led him to join the Republic Group and the Delegation of 2000, both of which aimed to limit the growing power that Palpatine was gathering in the Republic's executive branch.
