http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dash_Rendar
Dash Rendar has finally been dragged into the Disney universe as part of a Solo tie-in book. Does anyone have more info on what he's forced to do in the book? Wookieepedia has nothing written about it apart from a short quote at the top of the page.

isn't that the sensor dish from TFA? Shouldn't a Soylo era Falcon have the round dish from the OT? and I love how they point out the most obvious shit, like name something that you can't tell just by looking at it. But I guess that would take some creativity

This writing is awful, I hope they punched the intern they made write it. How do they make SW so fucking boring? And who comes with a shit name like Midnight? Their trying to come off as helpful, but it sounds like a boring person who thinks they can get into your pants by reading from wikipedia.

Alliance to Restore the Republic was pushed by wookieepedia for years before the Disney takeover but nobody really noticed at the time because the games and books still used Rebel Alliance or simply the Rebellion. I don't know where it came from but I assume it's some kind of RPG source book name for the rebels and some wiki editor must have liked it enough to make it the primary name for all the article links.
Now the Disney writers use Alliance to Restore the Republic in-universe a lot because that's what they see when they boot up the wiki to rip off stuff for their work.

I faintly recall it being taken from some obscure tabletop supplementary which discussed internal composition of Rebel Alliance. It was some faggy Rebel faction thing with former Senate crowd which was butthurt at Sheev trying to brand rebels as Alliance to Restore the Republic while the yolo crowd and the rest were proud to call it Rebel Alliance.
tl;dr: Mon Mothma, Bail Organa and their snowflake Senator friends did not want to be called mean names by ebil Imperials

Its like a pseudo-book for retards and normalfags too lazy to read actual books unless it has illustrations and no actual literary foundation. To think there's so many of these "journal" type books now is sickening.

honestly i'm still salty about the dice not being used. like for fuck's sake, you tease the shit out of it and for whatever reason think it's such a great callback (despite being a background prop you rarely saw in the ot) and then they don't even stick to the established story? it's still fully film canon, their presence in the ot solidifies that, and they couldn't be assed to make han use his dice as a substitute for the winning card.

granted, they had already fucked up by making the dice embroidered and chained up from the beginning, instead of having them loose until the sabacc game, then chained and embroidered to be hung in the falcon.

So are Droids sentient or not? I always kind of assumed R2D2 gained sentience by mistake, but most are not. Not sure about C-3PO.

They come with pre-programmed personalities that fit their job description. Battledroids (real tough ones Collocoid design tough, not the faggoty CIS ones) have basic personalities based on following orders and general attitude of a grunt. Protocol droids like 3PO are usually prissy and submissive because they are more likely to be used by the higher class societies. The quirks make logical sense in a computer technician's outlook in that moving components degrade and the programming can become corrupt so a memory wipe is essentially a factory reset so they can be at 100% efficiency. It's akin to having to reformat your Hard Drive if it fails or booting your computer from BIOS if you somehow fuck up that bad. I'm assuming that during memory wipes, the IT technician replaces outdated or damaged parts.
