Let's at a you're a senator in the Galactic Senate during the clone wars. What political ideas do you promote? What other senators do you associate with? Which ones would you consider rivals/enemies. What do you think of Palpatine? Are you loyal to the Republic, or do you sympathize with the CIS? What political factions do you support (Militarists, Humanocentrists, Rim Faction, Core Faction, etc)? What is your opinion of the Jedi and their role in the Republic?

The Outer Rim has its laws. They just aren't enforced 24/7 by some bureaucratic senate scumbags who care more about sucking deathsticks and raking that sweet bribe money rather than actually helping their worlds. The Outer Rim is lawful but free. If you end up a slave, its your own fault. Eat shit Core Worlder.

you're missing the point, the outer rim is the afghanistan of star wars. it's a desolate wasteland where there is no proper order, just an attempt at a common sense thing that falls apart the minute you have more than 10 people in an area. so things like anakin and padme defending themselves against geonosians (who attacked first btw, effectively declaring war against the republic) is perfectly legit.

If it's so lawless and chaotic, how is 3 people getting killed there cause for immediate galactic-scale war response from the Republic? By that logic, they have casus belli against every planet in the galaxy already. They are still the real initiators of war here.

normally you'd be right, but in this case obi-wan's detective work had led him to geonosis and subsequently found that the leadership of the confederacy was plotting for war against the republic anyway, so it happened to work in the republic's favor to attack first.

That's extremely unfair. Only a portion of the trade federation was responsible for that, and we totally have no intentions of joining the faction opposite the side of the republic in a rebellion.

Even the dialogue in Disney Wars reeks of the current era and will feel incredibly dated in a decade, while The Prequels have dialogue which feels timeless and will be just as relatable a hundred years from now as it is today, retards interpret that as "cringe"

Anyone find it deliciously ironic, that had the Jedi been more receptive to Ranuplh's Tarkin's Militarist faction, and created a standing non-Clone army Sheev wouldn't have been able to annihilate the Jedi so thoroughly.
I love how the comics portray him as the bad guy but if he had lived to see his proposal come through, more than likely more Jedi would've survived the attempted purge and be able to fight back in the coming civil war.

He unironically did nothing wrong and his proposal would've made the Republic look way more moral and humane. Strange how he's portrayed as a bad guy, yet his proposed army would've probably been badass.

It's probably a combination of the movie Tarkin being evil, and the values of time. Since he's a racist meanie bigot human supremacist from Eriadu, we have to make him ebil even though his solution would have averted the creation of the Empire.

I would've loved to have seen a Grand Army of the Republic that wasn't made up of clone troopers (much like the days of the really Old Republic). The potential for stories there might've been even bigger. Jango could've still been worked in as a trainer for elite soldiers, or have clones only make up the elite units.

Who knows- maybe the Sith wanted the Republic to demilitarize, knowing that eventually they would eventually be able to use the situation to take it over from the inside? Though having the Jedi personally command the clones may have been a stroke of luck on the Sith's part. Not that Jedi being involved with the Republic military was anything new however- but the Jedi of the time had long distanced themselves from that role if I recall correctly.

I thought a feature of the Late Republic was the Jedi taking an increasingly involved role in the Senate's politics at the expense of studying the Force.
