Can we get a list of the good stuff from the new canon?
Thus far I've found nothing except the mobile game Force Arena, Rebels/Clone Wars, Thrawn Novel, Tarkin Novel and the Quinlan Vos novel

Ahsoka and Mission are decent characters. even if I keep forgetting Mission is 14/15 because they used the adult Twi'lek model. and I guess Ewoks has furfag ones

It took me awhile to find Ahsoka attractive because she reminded me of a nigger when I was young. I tried not to be racist, and eventually I was able to cloud myself until I realized I was right all along, but I have always felt uncomfortable around blacks.
Mission was cute though.

So I obviously got the month wrong like an idiot, but meanwhile I learned a couple of interesting things about Alliances I didn't before.
1.) It features Palleon as Thrawn's right-hand man. Apparently he was reintroduced to canon in the last Rebels season.
2.) Padme is featured prominently in her own sub-plot. This was not something hinted at before and I have a strong suspicion that it was mandated by the story group or KK herself.

Pretty much the only shit I liked from the nu-films were the war bits in the anthology series, and even those were ruined with Hollywood trickshots and other faggotry.
In terms of lore, unless I'm just a faggot, but the introduction of a fodder Astra Militarum-type troop to the Imperial force is pretty fucking cash. Han Soylo should have been decimated when he started bitching, though.

Here you are. The format is a bit messy though. And be warned, while the book is okay, the author is a massively obnoxious faggot who insults fans and thinks anyone who hated the Disney movies is an evil anti-disney bigot who don't deserve to read his books or even look upon his "glorious" visage.

Isn't that the novel people wouldn't shut up about and claim it was glorious just because it had the "first lgbtwhatever" character in sw? I haven't read it and I trust the judgement of you chucklefucks, but all I ever here anyone mention about it is how brave and fantastic it was for having a lesbian in it and no mention of anything else in the book by readers and fans. Admittedly from what I've been told she was a likeable edgy scumbag with a slave harem so that would be an upside if not for the whole sentimental bs Kemp tried to force about her "wife" which was only added in to show how much more progressive the sw galaxy is compared to pre-gay marriage USA and that "she's not truly evil" which is such a pissy thing to do. Everyone's become such a fucking pussy about portraying minorities as actual irredeemable villains or believable characters these days without hamming it up with some idpol agenda to show how progressive and more "virtuous and moral than though" they are.

I haven't read the particular comic because I'm ignoring Disney Wars for the most part, but apparently, there's a story where Luke, Han and Leia take over some alien colony and Han proclaims the "Kingdom of Han". That sounds like a fun idea.
Also, the new SWBF games have amazing graphics.

Probably because lego games play it even safer than the new media and have so little dialogue. But honestly I lost much interest in Lego games when they started using voice acting.

they've only used it in the marvel, dc and product games, anything licensed from a movie just uses the film's dialogue, which actually works quite well imo. granted, the dlc missions in lego tfa all use original voice acting, but it's still not bad. besides that, old lego games had voice acting and nobody complained then, so i fail to see why now it's a bad thing.

The lack of voice acting gave the lego games that little creative spark, because they had to change all the cutscenes to still be understandable through only miming. It gave them that distinctive je ne sais pas that made the games memorable, and not just a minikit collecting diversion. When the cutscenes are just movie scenes in computer-generated plastic some of that charm is lost.

it was never a lack, it was a creative decision they decided to go with from the start, and they still do the same type of comedy, it's just no longer grunting

Only good thing was the de-canonization of the Y. Vong and the One Sith (Darth Talon and pals would've made great characters in an Old Republic setting or as enemies towards Luke and friends) and expanding on Jabba's rancor by actually giving it a name which would've made sense considering how much its tamer loved it, sadly its name was only given in an awful book. But even the de-canonization of the Vong is spoiled by Lucasfilm just repeating the same atrocities the Vong committed to the galaxy but under new villains. The Vong made the rebels achievements meaningless, but Disney did that and made all our old beloved heroes into shams and failures.

I'd argue that the Vong are less bad by far, because they were a new threat. The First Order is just the same threat with a new coat of paint, so the OT heroes didn't actually manage to defeat the empire.

it's even worse than that, the empire still actually exists, the republic only has a small percentage of the galaxy under its control. the first order is just a splinter faction that somehow built a new death star.

The IRL modularity of the AR platform allowed them to give Cassian a few weapons in one. A quick upper swap turned it into a sniper rifle. TBH, I liked how it was built off of an IRL weapon.

Another thing. I really like Jake Skywalker's look in TLJ. Hamill rocks that beard and the robe is a neat variant of the traditional jedi robes. Also, I liked that TFA showed some of Rey's daily routine, in ANH we only got a vague sense of what Luke's life was like on Tattooine. Not that it wasn't enough, but I still liked that little slice-of-life aspect.

I am about 70% through Alliances now. I think it's a good book, yes. It's Zahn and he's allowed to be himself. What might not work out in the long term is that Zahn introduced a new alien species to be the Not Vong for the nu-canon to explain why Thrawn is ingratiating himself to the Empire and what Sheev is sensing in the Unknown Regions that could threaten the Empire in the future. I honestly like them better than Vong but Disney may decided to re-canonize them and make Zahn's creative exercise null and void.
There's an action girl parallel narrative with Padme playing a prominent role, but if it was mandated by someone on the Story Group or Kennedy herself it at least doesn't feel like it. It could have been a bona fide Clone Wars episode and I mean that in the best way. If Zahn were writing female protagonists we wouldn't be lacking for nice things sacrificed on the altar of representation in space opera.
>>22867
It is, but it doesn't interfere with the story and is part of why Kemp's soy spergery disappointed me the way it did. She's still a villain but at least a relatable one with believable motives and flaws. Her S.O. dying explains why she falls into a depressive decadence that she has to overcome in order to help the villain protagonists thwart the traitors within the Empire. Even with her lesbian morality pets, though, she's still a rather classic imperial officer (in the bad sense of it).
>>22869
BEAttlefront 2's only point of praise from me is that it's single player campaign made Kylo Ren look cool and the concept for his stage of invading another guy's mindscape for psychological warfare was great.
>>22906
He was also a reasonable source for Thrawn's failure in Rebels season 3. People bitch, but the Force is a blind spot in his genius. It's something he can only try to understand intellectually as an outsider but that never really works the same way. Doesn't help that Chiss society persecutes force-sensitives as impure (at least in Legends).
>>22916
They've done a shitty job clarifying that. Most people think that the Imperial Remnant was just absorbed the First Order and I get the feeling that that's how the Story Group is writing things going forward anyhow. It did think it was a bit intriguing how there'd be this Francoist Spain analog sitting there in the core this whole time but Disney's hires are lazy and cynical and don't have anything in store for that loose end.

They're talking about Snoke's stupid species which also lives in the Unknown Regions and took the last imperial remnant under its wing. They're basically a bunch of fags in robes that don't do anything except act creep and are obsessed with evil magic.

well yeah, anything they didn't put into the films was basically just thought up overnight and someone said bingo. it's also retarded, the fact that they go through all the troubles of dismantling the empire, only to decide to let it continue with whatever worlds chose to remain loyal to it is just pure cuckoldry. it's kind of like in skyrim how the empire exists but under the rule of the aldmeri dominion.
