Read any of the fucking threads directly below this low-effort ‘look at meeeee’ post you fucking newfag. It is discussed in massive detail in almost every thread why we dislike the new canon, what our problems are with the people in charge, everything. There are even videos shared which talk about problems with the Disney canon. There is even a thread discussing what we like about the disney canon.

How about reading some fucking threads and learn why instead of expecting to be spoonfed, faggot? And the fact that you're asking either means you're genuinely ignorant, or a Disneyfag yourself looking for a chance to white knight the dismal state the franchise has fallen into because of Disney. Shit is hardly as valuable as it used to be because of their idiocy. Also Disney is just another corrupt burger company deadset on conquering the media giants via any means. Company loyalty is one of the stupidest things any regular person can do.

Calling Disney's Star Wars a "canon" at all seems like a bit of a farce. It's just a product line now. There's no effort to craft a cohesive universe.

>have the media you own shit on the old EU books for doing stupid shit, yet hire writers that do the exact same crap
>somehow do even worse with stuff like inserting fart fetish material into kid's books
>force political agenda into every single aspect, every Disney movie has a brown-haired woman with a British accent in a leading role

>allow a producer enough free reign to power trip, every spinoff has been a disaster of filmmaking thanks to interference
>same company that has Marvel movies planned out for decades allowed a 4 billion dollar movie series to start producing yearly films without any planning at all
The list just goes on OP. Either the heads of Disney are letting this happen on purpose due to offtopic reasons, or they're just that stupid. After seeing the wikileaks e-mails involving Amy Pascal and how Sony let her run wild, I can see the latter being possible. Could go either way.

Because it's trying to destroy Star Wars on the philosophical level.
It's a vandalization of George Lucas's intent, to tell a good and evil story in a society that was losing it moral compass. The sequel trilogy and all the books/games that have come out since the buyout have been attempts by post-modern Marxists funded by their Disney (((corporate masters))), have been trying to trivialize and eliminate all of the moral/philosophical underpinnings that make Star Wars compelling in the first place. Jedi/Sith don't mean anything goy, we just need to be le edgy centrist Grey Jedi! Everyone can be a force sensitive you awful bigot! Han and Leia getting a divorce before Han is murdered by his own son who Luke nearly murdered in his sleep and caused the utter destruction of everything Luke tried to build, causing Luke to become some nihilistic hermit failure who lives off of green titty milk on a distant planet is a (((subversive))) new direction by brilliant director Rian Johnson!
Fuck Disney, JJ Abrams, Rian Johnson, and Kathleen Kennedy. They have done more to ruin Star Wars in the sequel trilogy than Lucas and the prequels ever could.

Chuck Wendig also has a bit of a foot fetish if you've read some of his books. He tries too hard to mimic A Song of Ice and Fire by going into obnoxiously detailed descriptions of every little damn thing that exists and is happening in the novel, right down to what coasters look like and eerily detailed descriptions of a slave boy's feet.

Anon, the average Western parent actively pimp their kids out. What do you think happens in schools? And while there was a stir over the occasional sex ed for kindergarteners, nobody did any rising up and killing.
They even give you money to fuck your kids (Hollywood), and most parents in that situation gleefully hand their kids over to be HARV'd, because money and fame.

Pretty much yeah. Aside from that, the only good comics to come out of Disney were a few of those Darth Vader issues and a few from the Anakin/Obi-Wan miniseries. Aside from that, everything else has been monumental shit, and the Darth Vader comic suffers from having to tie itself with the other shittier ongoing SW comics, like the Aphra and main story shit.

Sounds accurate. But what about the rare bunch who actually think the prequels are better eh? Also RLM definitely was a major corrupting force. Look at the PT's and OT's RT and Meta scores before and after they made their review. There were major dips in percentages almost a month after their shitty video gained popularity. Its unnerving how much influence RLM gathered despite not being that good to begin with and basically being hacks themselves who barely got ahead in the industry and whose only films were pieces of shit. Their rise in fame almost feels artificial.

Must've replayed that crap and 100% everything 5 times while skipping cutscenes after the first playthrough. Also the music was AAA++++, especially the music in that fucking Tron level which still gets me pumped, and the fucking remix for 2.5 was orgasmic. The story was still crap though, but the world setup and characters did feel more alive and true to the source material compared to the limitations KH1 had to deal with.

>muh star wars is bad because it has to be muh good and evil
This is the fucking neo-marx rhetoric Disney is pushing though, they WANT it to be solidly black and solidly white. We can't have people rooting for the evil nazi Empire!!! No sir. We need strong African queen wymyn on the heroic noble feminist Resistance side. There can be no nuance!
The PROBLEM of Nu Wars is that it's aiming for a white-black moral narrative. That's a bad thing.

While I agree that yes, the Empire is styled up to ebil white nationalists. But I think that the character assassination of Luke, and trying to make Kylo Ren sympathetic, while promoting the "light side/dark side dont mean anything" meme in Rebels and other media is trying to remove Lucas's intent. And you can make Good/Evil narratives compelling without making it infantile like Disney does. Darth Plagueis, Darth Bane, and Tarkin for example are complex and layered characters but they are still evil. Likewise, Kyle Katarn, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo are also similar but good.

The neo-marxists hate "black and white" narratives though. A marxist would claim that the Empire was not all that bad and would argue against classifying them as "evil". Stop with the post-modernism.

figured this might be the best place to post this
>be on discord server
>sw gets brought up because someone disliked TLJ
>other anon fires back with liking the movie
>i chime in with just saying it's a bad sw movie
>anon gets triggered by the phrase "bad sw movie" apparently and asks that i define what entails a sw movie
>do exactly that, throw in my .02 that TFA and TLJ are poor sw movies because of the way they meet the sw movie standard, i didn't even get to go in-depth
>get told to stop because "my explanation was dumb"
>tell anon to fuck off
>anon asks to drop it
why is it that anytime i try to debate someone on why the disney movies are good/bad, they can never properly debate and instead try to call it quits while they're ahead? like holy shit, they open up this can of worms themselves and then can't handle the pressure of being told a different opinion.
