Season 1 having 15 episodes and season to being shy one and only having 14. Some folks wonder if it could spell the end of discovery, and the beginning of a new 5 year mission for captain Christopher Pike, lieutenant Spock and the rest of the crew of the enterprise.

No worries bro. This written word is here.

Take it either way, but I for one hope that the Enterprise is the main event of Season 3. If there is a Season 3.

Nerdrotic said on his channel production is delayed because they lost a shit ton of money over Netflix refusing to pick up the shows.

If they would stop putting a limit on the fan films. There would probably be a ton more support for them. Please give the link for Nerdrotic?

There are a lot of rumors about the show. Some say that CBS doesn't have enough money to make a third season and that it would lead to a season of Short Treks, others say that STD was created as a 5-season show no matter what, despite the writers having no idea of what to do with the show.

The show can't be good. Uplifting citizenry is a no-no.

There are plenty of other writers. Writers aught to do their homework. There should be a test. They need to take and pass a "trek" test before they can write for a Star Trek episode. Plenty of people can write a halfway decent episode of generic Sci Fi. It really isn't that long to write a one hour show. The show needs to stay in the timeline a bit at least.

I know but the people who are in charge of the franchise at the moment aren't Star Trek fans and don't really like or understand the science fiction genre. Kurtzman can LARP as a Trekkie in his Secret Hideout office but what he has made so far is a rehash of the stuff he did with Roberto Orci on the JJ-Trek movies. Most of the writers who worked on the two seasons of STD used to write for Gilmore Girls and other teen/women drama.

They don't care about Star Trek, they just want to use the brand for their own agenda.

>The show needs to stay in the timeline a bit at least.

I agree but Kurtzman wanted to stay out of the canon, that's why the second season ended with the Discovery and its crew going thousands of years into the future.

This is pretty good. He has a grudge going in his attitude towards the producer. I am getting there myself. Let's just see what comes next. We are down the rabbit hole.

So follow the red angel Mr. Producer man, and let the rest of us have a season with the Enterprise on front stage.

God, that episode was so fucking good. Never quite figured out whether the Vorta really ARE that incompetent, or if that was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek parody episode. Assuming the former, it's a big reason why the Dominion lost the war.

Gay men being girly is a bad stereotype based mostly on confirmation bias. Twinks are rarer than butch gays, but you just don't see the latter when they walk past you in the street because they seem normal. The "metrosexual" look has been in vogue since the late 90's and is only getting stronger as men have to appeal more and more to the modern woman who wants to be both dominant and feminine and therefore wants her man to be a parallel yet submissive.
