Too true. Specifically Kirk, McCoy and Spock were insanely well written, far more so than any other characters in the franchise. Its why TOS has a universal charm that is sadly undermined by newer generations because they have no tolerance for the technical limitations of its era nor the 60s societal elements, such as implications of only two sexes being universal across almost all lifeforms.
Truly, the Terrific Trio were insanely human, even more so during moments of jubilee between them.

Nope. I mean, he certainly could have if he wanted. The man's got serious game.
But even more than game, he's got brains.
When he's in sickbay, he's only got two things on his mind: performing medical miracles on a regular basis, and enjoying a quiet drink, and he does both with style and skill. He won't put up with jealousy drama in his home base, and that's a guaranteed outcome if he started tapping nurses.
But non-nurses? Oh yeah. He indulges.
