At least the premise sounds like Star Trek. Mediocre Star Trek, but Star Trek nonetheless. Although his cast choice does him no favors with regards to the the cuck meme. Not to mention Geordie was never an interesting character.

Mike's Plinkett review of TFA where he laments the lack of a Romance between Finn and Rey, because A New Hope had Romance in it (?).

This is basically it. He kept complaining about the lack of romance in the new Star Wars movies when he knew they cast white female leads and the male leads were all black or hispanic or fillipino.

It's a noble effort, but half-baked. He should have realized by the end of his first draft that he was throwing-out bits of post-TNG canon to make it work, but it's as-if he didn't realize that until he showed it to that other pedo looking dude that reviews with him. So, they're basically not reviewing a fake movie concept, they're brainstorming an idea together …one which clearly needs a few more drafts.
And to that end, if you're throwing out canon then you might as well throw-out all of the TNG films and just make the Picard series a direct continuation of TNG that picks-up the story in real-time, but instead of making it immediately following All Good Things, like the TNG films do, you actually partially re-make All Good Things. You use the original footage of the 'present' scenes from All Good Things, but actually expand and re-shoot the 'future' scenes now using the original actors (which as-of 2018 almost perfectly match-up in age to their 'future' selves in the original All Good Things). Spiner and John de Lancie will possibly require some digital de-aging (Q more than Data) unless you want to lampshade it, but everything else is straight-forward.
As far as how those 'future' scenes (which actually take place now) are re-worked, it will all depend on how you want to set-up the continuation series, but I like the idea of the Enterprise-D being lost after TNG and adrift for years. It makes recovery mission that much more pottery since our beloved series has indeed been abandoned and "adrift". Either way, the proceeding episodes will involve whatever you had set-up with the All Good Things partial re-make. No more time travel shenanigans going forward. If you did it right, the audience will intuitively understand that they're supposed to disregard the TNG films and nuTrek.

This is probably the most autistic thing Mike has ever done and I enjoyed it thuroughly. He literally could post here with us, because writing an entire treatment of awful ideas in a single storm of autism the moment it was announced his favorite character was returning is great. How can you NOT identify with that? This man definitely loves Star Trek.

I was hoping Mike would tear a new Picard series up because I know Mike wants a post-Voyager show. Picard can still make an appearance if it was set 25 years after Nemesis.

It can be boiled down to "I want Voyager with a splash of DS9, with the cast of TNG, but for no particular reason I hate Voyager". If you're a fan of Star Trek you probably want more of DS9, or TNG, or TOS, or Voyager, or whatever. I just don't understand how he can sit there and spell out plainly that he wants Voyager and then deny it by name. He wants exploring new space that's different, where you can't just warp home and get help whenever, where things are strange and weird, where the crew are somewhat unprofessional and not all militarymen. It's fucking VOY. Maybe he just hates Janeway, I know a lot of people do.

So far Mike's idea is basically Stargate Universe + Event Horizon.

Because Voyager's show premise was great, but everything else sucked.
