women do not experience sexuality the way men do. Theirs is actually more complex, since they typically experience arousal separate from sexual drive. Thus, they tend to underestimate / completely fail to recognize the visual aspect as it relates to male sex drive. In other words, they literally think they're just being "cute" when they're sending out "fuck me" signals by their manner of dress. They know that they're intimidating other women and they know that they're getting male attention, but they are woefully ignorant as to the true nature of that male attention.
Women are able to recognize (and exploit) the female power aspects of it, but when faced with the male power consequences that so often follow from the situations they put themselves in, they're completely nonplussed and prone to flights of gynecological screeching. Young women literally cannot comprehend men's reactions. As women, they only know the feeling of being intimidated when faced with superior attractiveness in other women so they ignorantly assume that the appropriate reaction from men when faced with their beauty should be to signs of submission and deference.
It's so refreshing to watching classic shows and films, including TOS, and observe traditional sexual mores. Young anons can learn a lot. As an aside, a supplemental media list (books, films, tv) that help re-introduce this disappearing worldview could be helpful for newfags to better appreciate the archetypes and tropes employed in TOS.

As much as I adore Yeoman Colt, if we're just going by the purpose of the confinement, Number One would have produced the superior offspring. However, I'm not sure what the Talosian meant by one of Colt's attributes being "physical strength" since she's clearly petite in relation to, well, everyone else. If what he meant was that both Number One and Vina were both significantly past prime child-bearing ages, then I may have to go with Colt from just the youth factor. Number One in fact implied that Vina must be older than she looks based on what they knew about the crash and the crew manifest. Number One is supposed to be highly intelligent and capable, so merely holding the rank of Lieutenant implies that she's perhaps mid to late 20's, but some of the big head alien's comments give me pause.
All that being said, what's with Vina's stance? Could the cage have been a trap?
