I just started playing about 8 days ago and everywhere I go I get told either to leave, get kicked/banned, among other things because my account isn't 30 days old.
Every justification I get for it is "It's to prevent trolling" but then I just get a shit reply of "it's to prevent trolling" when all someone has to do is just -wait- 30 days with an army of accounts. Latest dude to try justifying it today is that it'd IP ban associated accounts but it's just as easy to just swap out IP's.
Either way, I also keep hearing that the game is dying too, and I think that's a big contributor. What are newer players supposed to do when they can barely go anywhere?
On the upside, I've spent practically all of my time in sandboxes getting advice and making my av. But still, what is someone supposed to do aside from that? I came on for the roleplaying but it's frustrating to not be allowed to join in.

just pay your dues and wait the month. sims with the 30-day rule tend to be run by turbo normies/drama queens and thus are not worth the wait in the first place anyway, and while it's true a more dedicated griefer can do what you said, most don't since there's plenty of other places to grief that don't have a grace period, so the 30-day rule actually works.

Yeah, there are many places like those and I ignore them unless they appeal to something specific. There are groups that will help you get started and there's places where you can start your sl days, but many people don't like seeing a newbie avatar join up, with their fingers out stretched, and start trying to start a conversation in public.

I've noticed that already. Like the place I tried getting an exception to the rule by demonstrating skill and RP ability but was ignored for several days and only when I was getting through they stropped the process for a rule they made up on the spot called "Admin shopping" because I messaged more than one admin since I was getting ignored.
Then they turned it into a debacle and it's like "Fuck it dude, I don't need your shit"
So you're right, they did me a favor. I can refine skill in modding, learn to upload items with less land impact, and other things.

But any groups or places you can recommend I'd gladly take it. I've been sandbox hopping mostly but avoid the clubs. I don't like how -silent- everywhere is. I get IM's yeah, but I want to have a conversation with people, a group too, and I get more of those in the sandboxes I've gone to.

Visited an rp town, default sim landing spot is about 1 meter in someones garden, immediately move to the road. start reading the sim description "all visitors are welcom…" when one dude starts messaging some shit about how I have been trespassing and "going into peoples homes"
Try explain but he doesn't want to listen and ban ejects me, odd so after I ask what the "real reason" was, he tells me my account (2 year old at the time) is an alt and that's the "real reason" did literally nothing wrong… "all visitors welcome"
visit a "human only" dance club, landowner asks me to change or leave because I have kitten ears, I leave, landowner and dance bot are now happy in their sim alone.
^ lool this shit happens often, have more examples but would be here all day. I know a handful of people that never leave their home parcels because of crap like above, it probably does contributes some to why there are "no people" around.
Think you just got to find the good places or get your own!

Theres a common denominator in all these cases that you are somehow not seeing. You see, YOU keep getting banned in all these places. But what I will say, is that I go to human only clubs with wings tails and animal ears all the time.
I walk into peoples homes and just start talking to them on the regular.
I ask group owners to wave the 30-day rule for me on my alts and i've had mild success. Some of them tell me to wait it out, and I just do.
It strikes me odd that you are such a whining pissbaby that you need to dedicate an entire thread to sobbing about your experiences getting booted when I'm walking around sim hopping, and the community is more open and more willing to allow randoms then it's ever been, unless you look or act like a fucking retard.

The OP was a newbie at the time with 8 days just going off their post. Not an alt. They also asked to get the rule waived but with no success and judging by this post >>49351 it looks like they were getting approved but then something happened due to the person messaging more than one admin.
They also made no mentions on their av's appearance. Going by not only that but the fact they were putting in the time of going to sandboxes, that implies they were probably learning how to build and mod.
Not to mention, "I do X all the time therefore it must be you" is never really a good statement. True they might be a cunt, but you're really not making a good argument for yourself on not being a cunt. Especially since there are some really crazy people on SL, your experience can vary. Iv been on sl 15 years this December. I have noticed a lot over the last few years the older residents dont' help the new people. EVERYONE needs help on there I always try and help new people.
