I would like to "resurrect" an old avatar which I used to do some copybot and other shit. Logically, I wouldn't want to log in with a viewer that would reveal my IP (and probably get my regular avi banned), so I would be glad if you could recommend me some good substitute to Shoopedlife, the discontinued viewer which, among other things, did hid your IP. Thanks.

ShoopedLife did not hide your IP and there is no viewer that has ever hid your IP. Your concern is still valid, you are right and LL would connect your main with your alt by IP address if you caused enough of a ruckus. >>30794 is rong.
What you would do is wipe all SL cached files, change IP manually/use proxy and then run one of the SL grifman viewers. These hide your drive serials, hardware IDs, mac addresses, etc.
Since you are asking this question at all I would guess you are quite out of the loop about copybotting.

There is no way of knowing that so just change it like this guy says. I would just go with power cycling router though and not going as far as calling ISP.
Some routers you can even change the mac address clone 1 digit or letter and force it to retrieve a new one immediately.
