Okay, so I've finally gotten sick of my old AO.

Where are the good places to pick up some new animations from?

Kuso is the best for cheap animations. Just mind the brazilians.

I'm not OP, but what do when you own most of the animations from Oracul/Kuso, considering they recycle a lot of the animations for their other AO sets?

I use mostly Oracul too, and the only other thing that's really ever appealed to me qualitywise was Akeyo. They're rather more pricy, but if you're just grabbing individual animations, and you find just the kind of thing you wanted, it's worth it.

For the price, Oracul (kuso) isn't bad. When you consider for a moment that in practice they're mostly shit though, the price point becomes obvious. Most of their female animations have clipping issues with the hips, chest or thighs. Most of the male animations pull the head inward and push the chin down, leading to a tryhard and almost edgy look. It also causes your eyes to roll up into your lids so only the bottom of your iris can be seen.

I also generally dislike displacement, crossed legs and hands in the pockets and Oracul has quite a few of those.

Akeyo seems very twitchy to me. It's likely the hardware they use for mocap. When they cycle back to the start it can look very bad at some angles. Other than that, yeah, they're one of the best options that I know of.

You seem to have high standards, that's cool, but are there any animation stores you actually like?

I didn't mean to seem scathing, I just like to warn people away from Oracul. It's so common to see someone go there, buy a boxed AO and never bother with their poses ever again.

Anyways, Vista, Voir and as I said, Akeyo, are all pretty much top notch. Abranimations deserves a mention too.

Anyone have recommendations for AOs that don't clip to everloving fuck with Kemono?

I don't mind paying but I don't want it to be a shot in the dark. They don't make AO demos, do they?

Most of the time you can try out AOs in the store.

I like Body Language - Sweet Lovely Cute or whatever it's called. The animations are a bit pricier individually than some of the others mentioned in this thread, but they're simple and nice and don't have you walking all over the place. Some of their animations are a little silly but I guess that's a non-issue when you're trying/buying animations individually and building your own AO anyway.

Any animation store worth their salt will allow you to demo the animations used in the AO.

If your kemono is the thunder thigh variety, them maybe Voir can help you. I've got a short fat kemono body and they have an AO made specifically for rounder avatars. I know there's another one they sell for avatars with side hips too

Just basic Kemono. What I have now works but generally the hands and wrists will clip with things in some animations, especially when wearing things with long sleeves.

Yes, actually.

That may be the issue there. Some of Krankhaus' clothes add a lot of thickness to your arms, something AOs don't deal well with unless the animations are specifically made for those shapes.

Try seeing how you look nekkid. If you clip then it's your AO, if not then it's your clothes.

Damn. I can't find any good shirts for this avatar, what a pain in the ass. Well, if nothing else i've found some new animations to make it less apparent.
