Where does /sl/ like to get their land? I want to rent some roadside or waterfront adult mainland and have no idea where to start. Any tips or things to look out for?

Waterside generally is expensive as fuck to buy. Not sure about renting though.

Avoid any large rental company, WRE, the Chungs in general and so on and so forth, when I used to rent I would rent from smaller companies or even single persons like Zell Christensen.

Seconding Zell

I pay like, $3 a month for a cute piece of land, and Zell is super friendly and helpful

Any questions or issue you have, she'll help you out

This was the first land I ever rented. I got tipped off in a /slg/ thread a while ago and I don't think I'll ever rent anywhere else

damn, i'm definitely going to have to go with zell soon. 1 prim for 1L is too good to pass up on

Meh, that's the average. Never pay above that unless there are special circumstances like it being adult, coastal, or double prim. If you can get below that then you've found a good deal.

That being said, Zell has always been professional and courteous enough in my limited dealings with her, and you're definitely not being ripped off either. So she seems like a decent bet to go with.

Where the hell can you get below 1L$/1P?

I've never seen cheaper than that

Because that's an incredibly cheap price as it is.

Going rate to more or less break even is L$2/prim weekly.

At L$1/prim weekly they're basically doing you a favor.

That anon implied that he's found it cheaper though, and I'm curious where

I rent from Zell right now and I'm really satisfied, and I don't think there's anything cheaper than 1L$ per prim

There might be some specific themed areas or tiny skyboxes for cheaper, maybe.

That said, you have to remember that with cheap land there's basically no fucking way in hell they're making any money on it, so unless it's owned by some richfag that just wants to empty his wallet into LL's pockets, the really cheap stuff is not likely to stick around.

I would love to pay around $5 a month for a little spot of land, where I could place a small house with a skybox above.

I'm an idiot and posted

while falling asleep.

I was thinking about what I vaguely recalled from buying land, not renting. And buying mainland at 1L per square meter is pretty average.

Yes, I am aware that that's not what we were talking about or what I said in the post. Like I said, I was being an idiot, sorry.
