You think Motoko would get frustrated if someone referred to her as "an android"?

It's her own fault for being a robot who happens to have a few brain cells

She seems to be a bit put out by it when people do confuse her for an android; so I'd imagine she's not a fan of it. I think she'd also react very negatively and angrily if people kept doing it on purpose, especially in a teasing manner. Or if someone kept insisting she was an android without actually realising she was a cyborg. Probably drive her crazy.

Especially if she can't do anything about it.
For example as part of a mission where she mustn't blow her cover.

Precisely, like she was a waitress somewhere.

Yeah, because referring to her as "a gynoid" would be a little more appropriate.

What would Motoko do if someone mistook her for a doll and returned her to a toy store, only for her to end up getting bought by Togusa's daughter?

Well, Motoko would have to be in some predicament for her to be manhandled in such a manner and not escape, plus they'd have to find some packaging for her, unless it's some fancy bespoke doll shop (but why they'd have a fully functioning robo-doll there is a bit questionable).
Anyway, I'm presuming there's a reason why Motoko can't just escape from the situation, so I think she'd probably fume about it; if she could, she'd try to enlist Togusa's daughter's help to try and help her escape but that would probably scare her about the doll that talks and wants to leave. So there's a good chance that Motoko would, while not doing so with the best of graces, have to settle in for a while in a new life as a young girl's best friend and favourite toy. On the plus side, it's unlikely Mossad would find her in that state though being close to Togusa could lead them to her.

However, Togusa would (once again) hire a priest to exorcise the doll, but this time, he'd be up against the real deal, and eventually, the channeling agency would have to get involved and Motoko's cover would be blown!
Of course, that is only if she starts acting weird and freaks out Togusa's kids. If she behaves like a good doll, there's no reason for things to go wrong.

And who knows; she may come to enjoy it.
Of course Kurutan would probably be on the hunt for her doll as well, so may end up in a tug of war with Togusa's kid for control over the Major!

No wonder everyone mistakes Motoko for a robot: look at what Hanka Precision Instruments puts on the market!

See, if you got a chassis like that, why bother with the weird child mind copy nonsense?

I'm guessing the boss of Hanka Precision Instruments went a bit bonkers after spending all those years as a box on wheels.
And conoisseurs like colonel Tonoda do seem to appreciate the perks of ghost-dubbed robomaids

True, but then again, he liked the other models as well, which weren't Hanka made. And they seemed cute enough.

Were they from the same company? I thought he had a menangerie of different ones from different companies as bribes.
