Would Motoko be better with more seam lines?
I've noticed that in the earlier chapters she's got a few panels, do you think she needs more of those as well as various seam lines on her body? You know to give better access to her working parts

It's a tough call; I like my Motoko with a few seam lines and clearly artificial indicators, but then again, having a more seamless body and such has a conventional beauty and, for Motoko, would work better for intelligence work.
It would also depend on what she's doing; if she's expecting to spend ages doing lots of heavy duty; chasing, fighting, etc, then having easy access for maintenance would make sense. Undercover or investigating, you'd perhaps prefer a body that doesn't scream 'high end military prosthetic body'. As you would be in Japan and have easy access to recovery, government infrastructure, etc if she gets fucked up, she can just be hauled to a police hospital and patched up until being shipped back to Section 9's facility.

And I think it's partially people just capitalising on it (a lot of this stuff including that pic is just advertising for pateons, etc) or some people who didn't know much about GITS/Motoko seeing the film and going 'Oh yeah…" I doubt that crappy Hollywood studios and distributors really think that spreading smut is a good way of guerilla advertising. The more sfw stuff perhaps.
