Disappointing that they didn't use a dog fish like the book and instead went with a Sperm Whale like the Di$ney movie.

Barring that why is Salem just sitting out here and her forces not laying waste to Mantle? It's like the V7C1 opening where they just had a bunch of ships flying around aimlessly to make it look like something was happening.

So they passed through some strange opening to get into this room with Salem but CRWBY didn't animate it.

This whole Neo emotional reaction thing is bullshit. She was all aboard the massacre in Vale. She isn't some innocent little girl, she's a stone cold killer.

I understand Salem's powerful but having an entrance that you can't see from your seated position in the throne room looks silly.

Even in Salem's scrying of Atlas her forces aren't doing anything. Why did she have to use any discernible effort to cast a simple spell like that anyway?

All the fires in the establishing shot have tall columns of thick gray smoke which disappear when we go in closer.

They show off the design of Mantle with expansive shots that really undercut what they're selling. The streets aren't teeming with Grimm or even Ironwood's soldiers, considering the kingdom is supposed to be under marshal law. The city looks very peaceful for a place that's supposedly under attack.

In a big Grimm invasion why does this hole in the perimeter wall matter anymore?

Grimm are streaming into the city but people are still in the streets?

No, Salem got this far because even though you all rebelled against Ozpin you still brought the lamp to Atlas which was his original plan and then didn't tell Ironwood what you should have when it wouldn't have snapped his already frayed nerves. They never did tell him that the lamp draws Grimm, did they?

I thought I was being to harsh in my assessment that Ruby didn't understand a simple concept in V7 but she really doesn't.

Penny's a machine. An advanced piece of Atlas tech. How does Ironwood not know where she is at all times?

Why does Penny need an external communications device? Ironwood should have a direct pipeline into her core systems. They've written Atlas as idiot savants when it comes to their technology so this shouldn't surprise me, but it do.

So basically Ruby's taken the only key to the lifeboats and won't give it to Ironwood unless he does what she wants.

Why is there an infirmary across the hall from a morgue? Why is there a window? Who designed this?

Ironwood has to tell us that Grimm have been attacking Atlas shields because they haven show us that. It's like a war movie where focus is solely on the REMFs and never portrays the frontline conflict. Hopefully the shield design around Atlas is better than the one that was supposed to protect Remnansisco in V6.

They made the Atlas Council a joke last volume, may as well put it out of it's misery.

The placement of the morgue and the windows are just to make this framing of the shot possible. If CRWBY weren't cowards they'd have shown Ironwood shoot Councilman Sleet on screen.
