Go to anichart.net and find some shit that looks interesting and torrent it from horriblesubs.info.
Or just see what the anons are talking about on /a/; You're going to discover a lot of great shows from past seasons simply by lurking.

Nailed it, but if you have a hard time just look up characters from reaction images. That way you are bound to find shows that were popular recently, even if there is no thread about them.
