Chris Hallquist/Topher Brennan (Ozy's husband) is running for Senate in 2018, trying to take down Feinstein from the left.
Your thoughts, /ratanon/?

Can't be worse than Feinstein herself.

Are there photographs of Topher that aren't that single one of him staring off to the side? There presumably has to be if he's going around running for Senate. I tried to facemorph him and Ozy to get an idea of what their spawn would look like, but the angle (and Ozy's glasses) equalled a less accurate result.

I can't find a single news article describing this man (this is the only announcement I can find of it on the entire internet), nor can I figure out why someone would go by the names Chris Hallquist AND Topher Brennan, or which one is his real name, or why one of his twitter accounts (?) uses a picture of Robert Oppenheimer (https://twitter.com/TopherTBrennan)
Which is annoying, because I want to know how someone could be endorsed by Scott Alexander (sorry, can't find a link, think it was on his tumblr. I remember being surprised at it, because– if I remember– Topher was quite rude to Scott at one point. I didn't follow that closely, though) and also be "trying to take down [a democrat] from the left". But I can't find anything about this man's platform.

He's Christopher Brennan in full, born Christopher Hallquist (he changed his name when he got married). He switched from using Chris to Topher as his nickname at some point.
>I want to know how someone could be endorsed by Scott Alexander and also be "trying to take down [a democrat] from the left"
The Democrats are 'left' in a way that is very unappealing to most people around these parts. Paradoxically, most conservative rationalists would be liberals if the center was a lot further to the left.

Acknowledging that "left" and "right" are fuzzy concepts, when I think of people "left" of democrats I think of people like Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein, who Scott endorsed less whole-heartedly than Hillary Clinton last election. While you can certainly do better than the average Democrat, ideologically, I don't think it's by going farther left (nor farther right, for that matter, but that's another discussion).

Scott has proved time and time again that the best way to be endorsed by him is to treat him like crap.

Wait, if Ozy's last name was Frantz, and Chris's last name was Hallquist, then who tf is "Brennan"?

Ozy's last name is Brennan. 'Frantz' is a pseudonym.

So, time to brainstorm what we can do to sabotage his chances. This faggot is bound to have more opinions that will horrify normies than just the poly thing. Anyone bothered to read enough of his crap to know what they are?

I realize you probably have nothing better to do with your time than to try to ruin this man's campaign, but I want you to reread >>9416 carefully and tell me if you think a guy that can't really afford a professional filmographer is going to beat the 24-year-incumbent of the dominant party of California.
He's just running to "get his ideas out there" as they say, and try to move the party platform closer to his ideal. Like Bernie Sanders did.
