Because my brain is associated with my consciousness since it becomes impaired when my brain is affected by drugs, so there is good reason to believe that other people who have similar brains - being human - therefore also have this same subjective sensation and are therefore self-aware.
You can't actually prove this 100%, but this is a good reason to lean towards everyone else not being p-zombies.

And moral nihilism just means that there's no such thing as objective right and wrong external to your own subjective preferences. What is objectively true is only the fact that the subjective preferences of humans highly correlate with each other because we share a similar evolutionary origin, and certain deleterious preferences have been weeded out. This does not, however, make those preferences wrong in an absolute sense, since nothing is - there is simply no such thing as wrongness in a vacuum - things are only wrong "at" or "for" purposes.
There is simply no rational reason to choose a mainstream center-right or center-left ideology over Nazism, or Islam, or communism. Rationality cannot tell you what your goals are, only what goals would be most effective at fulfilling your chosen purpose.
You cannot derive objective morality purely from the fact that we have evolved to reject moralities that would have led to extermination, because A: that still doesn't provide an objective measure of moral correctness, and B: that still leaves plenty of moralities that are absolutely horrific by the standards of modern center-right/center-left liberalism, but not in anyway evolutionarily deleterious.
Islam, for example, is often condemned as barbarous, but it in no way fails some fitness test for morality that atheistic center ground Western liberalism succeeds at. There are over 1 billion Muslims in the world and the religion is almost 1500 years old. It is has not failed any major tests in terms of survival, so the Sam Harris types might want to pause before they suggest that "is" can be converted into a moral "ought".
Nazism, meanwhile did fail in that the regime that propagated it was defeated. However, A: that may not have been something contingent to Nazi ideology but just the local environment at that historically brief time, and B: even if it was contingent, you may not in fact be against dying in a blaze of fire and destroying your own society in trade for some level of emotional fulfillment. There would be nothing, absolutely nothing "irrational" about this.
The only time rationality would enter into the mix is after you decide, on the most basic level, what you actually want. If what you want more befits a Nazi worldview on a basic emotional level then that's absolutely fine. Where facts and reason enter is the decision as to whether you are fine with the consequences of adopting National Socialism as your preferred mode of activism. Unfortunately, where and how NatSoc fails is not a settled debate and there are very few empirical facts about it that do not depend on interpretation of historical factors and having faith in the authority of different purveyors of different interpretations. If you believe the establishment has got it totally wrong, then they can't help you in building an empirical and rational case for why Nazism is "wrong", and unfortunately you are out at sea and must go with the only recourse left…
…FAITH.

There are a number of kinds of suffering I choose to undergo. Something very satisfying about breaking myself down and rebuilding it better. A Good Hurt. You might claim that the satisfaction outweighs the suffering, or that it's not real suffering… but there's no way to apply a numeric value to these things and I'd accuse you of gerrymandering the boundaries of the definition to save a transparently inapplicable framework for measuring human preferences.

One of the beautiful things about utility is that if you are a rational agent and you decided to take those actions, then you have already communicated to me that you thought the satisfaction outweighed the suffering.

My topic of interest drifted from gahnoo to other things and I realized how incoherent it was. I was already a utilitarian, and looking at it from the outside, I couldn't really pretend that all proprietary software necessarily makes the world worse because it's proprietary.
I still like free software, and use free software, and write free software, but I've let go of the deontological take.
I don't really trust myself with holding strong opinions any more. That's probably good.
