I'm not. I think EAs are pretty misguided:
- Increasing the number of human lives, in the current state of affairs, is evil. Leads to lives not worth living and decreased world quality for everybody else. It makes feeding the future world even harder, not to speak of the environment.
- Funding AI risk research is fine but overdone by an order of magnitude.
- The lack of research and investment in physical/sexual ways to raise global utility is appalling. Consider offering haircuts, dental services, sexual education (How to have great sex) and so on, in some of the worse places in the world. They could use some beauty and dignity. If you slip them a sterilizing chemical in the process, even better.
