Do the people you know know that you read /ratanon/? (Aside from yourself.) If so, do you discuss it with them? What do they think or what would they think if they knew?

Even if I told them, they wouldn't understand it. The intersection of imageboards and LW rationality is very niche.

am I the only retard that thinks lw-sphere would benefit enormously from imageboard culture ?

Imageboards, possibly. Anonymity has some nice properties.

Imageboard culture, out of the question.

See, that's the thing. On Scott's pyramid of being-an-argument, this is right at the bottom. And maybe that's the point, but there's no way to tell - there are always people who would post that unironically.

I hate this website.

It's just fun you weeb.

It is fun, but it is also the kind of noise that tends to crowd out high-effort discussion. If you write a

thoughtful post and only receive shitpost replies, eventually you stop writing thoughtful posts.

I can't think of a single meme that was produced by this board

It's actually hard to properly shitpost and in my entire life I've never seen discussion more truthful and high-effort than on imageboards. You become more charitable on imageboards the longer you stay on them. It doesn't matter if you call them a stupid faggot you know they're here in a forsaken corner of the internet just like you.

Besides if you need actual long form writing you can start a blog since the more active the a imageboard is the less attentioin people will pay attention to that.

>>12045

not that guy but as in where memes can thrive and fit, there's like a few of us how can we even create a meme ?

Besides there are a lot of memes that never leave the community.

Take a look for example at this place: https://www.bronnen.net/user.php?/int/index.html

What do you think ?
