So what did y'all think of Unsong? I thought the ending was p. good. Those puns really were bullshit, though.

It's great. The theodicy I didn't like because I know what the actual solution to theodicy is, and it isn't that.

It was the first ratfic I ever read believe it or not.
I liked pretty much all of it. It took a while to get used to the way chapter events are placed in time.
I wish he'd write a sequel, or do something similar.

That's a pretty nice meme, friendo.
UNSONG was pretty good. It's not a work of beauty, but the ideas are sweet and you can just feel the weight of Scott's ridiculous IQ pressing down on you like the worthless insect you are, filling your brain to bursting with puns and knowledge as the pressure does and rises till you can't bear it, crush me daddy

What is the actual solution to theodicy?

It's pretty good, but I wish Scott had kept the multiple endings he was planning to do. I kind of want him to do something more "literary" with less fantastical elements though. I feel he needs to learn to write from the PoV of a character that isn't a late 20s self-insert.

This better not be a pun. Speaking of, what is /ratanon/'s opinion on Unsong's spiritual predecessor, The Study of Anglophysics?

It's also a bit of a spoiler. Metatron's answer would have been much more dramatically if I hadn't previously read it on SSC.
