I'm reading the sequences and I'm at Physicalism 201, specifically Reductive Reference, 220.

It's already getting tiring and I'm not getting anything new out of this. Should I just skip this one and 'Quantum Physics and Many Worlds' ?

I don't remember getting anything good out of this. I endorse skipping this and the QM chunks (which I gave up on when I couldn't make a good model in my head that would explain some of the more complicated mirror setups).

I'm not looking for the contrariaristic response.. I got a few good ideas out of them.

>>10592

You mean the book ? I'm already reading that.

>>10593

I don't get it, should I not read the book ? Isn't it pretty much the same thing ?

Thanks for you input man.

Just skip it dude. It caused me to lose 2 years of my life to an existential crisis that still keeps me awake sometimes to this day.

Closest to this thing I've had is Mediations on Moloch and that poem which I read one after another and it only lasted me a week at most.

Is this just bait to make me read that shit ?

i should have probably skipped this after all.

Don't read anything from big yud about quantum physics, he doesn't know what he's talking about. Also don't read anything from him about anything at all.

ehh, some of the shit he wrote wasn't really bad and there are some things I didn't know

it's not like I take it to heart, I just try to absorb what I deem useful

Hijacking this thread to speak along the same lines about Nassim Taleb. What's the big deal about that guy?

op here,

all I know about him is that I wanted to read his black swan book in the future so I looked specifically at bad reviews online in order to make me postpone it

Sounds like you just really want to read that book. Why don't you do so?

I have other shit I actually want to read first.

There's that elephant book that got posted recently, some radish shit, I have a whole backlog. The fact that I don't have time to read makes me prioritize rat/nrx specific stuff because of the impact it had on my life. ( I know this sounds culty but you probably know what I'm talking about )

Now that I've finally finished all of it ( some time ago actually but I forgot to post ) it really blows my mind how much wasted potential the sequences represent.

Get an editor familiar with lw sphere, rewrite and compress most of the content and fucking publish the result.
